There's a pretty good essay floating around out there that talks about how her image changed over the years and how that may have contributed to her career going downhill. I'll see if I can find it for you.

You know what? I DO find them relaxing. Soothing. They let me know that all is okay in the world. That I still have my Christine by my side.
Not everyone needs a Stand Back dance beat to enjoy music. Dance music actually kinda gets on my nerves(not implying that's what you meant).
I listen to more and more Classical music every year...

Why? I'm not saying that couldn't be true, I'm sure it is. Her image went out of style. so what?

fairy gas is not menopausal farts. It's a magical substance that does wondrous things. Not related to stevie at all.
And, well, the beat gets on your nerves. I like a beat. So there ya go. It doesn't mean stevie or christine sucks. It just means we don't like one or the other. See? how's that bun taste? delicious?

And I've always said that THAT's the problem when you're a sex symbol. Where do you go when you pass 40-45? "Oh yeah, she was HOT, you know, back in the 1970s and 80s."
I'll bet they don't say that about Dylan. :)

Well, it didn't so much deal with her being a sex symbol as much as it had to do with how her image changed. It talked about how she was a tough but sensitive rocker chick when she hit it big with Bella Donna, but by the time TOSOTM and Street Angel rolled around, she was the epitome of a child-like woman; she had turned into an ultra-feminine fairy princess. I didn't necessarily agree with everything it said, but it was pretty well thought-out and interesting.
