Yes, I wonder if Stevie did have a long talk with Lindsey over the phone.
In the clip she references a phone call about the tour, so maybe they got a few things settled and set straight. I would have loved to listen in on that phone conversation. :]

I saw FWM in NY and NJ early in 2003 on the SYW tour, and then again in London in December 2003 and Stevie's energy had definitely dipped. She looked unhappy and didn't want to be there, I assumed it was working with Lindsey again that made her so unhappy. I saw her again on a video the other day of the tour they did without Lindsey in UK and she was completely different. It was sad to see her so unhappy. Hope she gets over it for 2009!!!

Look, I love Stevie. I really do.
But, if you are making a whole bunch of money, you need to clam up about personal differences. Especially when the other party in these differences hardly says a word about troubles between the two of you.
In the average workplace (where you make anywhere from minimum wage to a fortune), you work with people you absolutely despise and you suck it up, unless there are legitimate beefs that prevent you from working.
Now, I know showbiz is not like that. But, she agreed to work with FM this time around and that implies a bit of a commitment to her own art and her audience. Last time, the menopause and a hip injury (I think that's part of what was going around last time as why she was not herself) was a reason not to be totally "on." (And, frankly, I never had a problem with any of the shows I went to, and I went to quite a few. I thought she was fabulous. My problem came a few years after with the woe is me-ing and the Lindsey is so mean stuff).
I'm sure everything will be just fine, or there won't be another leg of the tour. Or the "infighting" will be the hook to sucker us all into the FM melodrama this time around.

They are the ultimate threesome :D Throw in Wally and there's four guys that just "belong together":rolleyes:

Seriously though, I hope FM come together as a band or else I hope Lindsey just leaves to do solo work with the guys.

lol! To be honest, from what I saw from the last FM tour, and then seeing LB solo...he appears to actually have better chemistry with Brett and the other guys than Stevie. And it seems to be a genuinely positive mutual relationship, whereas SN and him always seems so up and down. One minute their sweet, the next minute they're bitchin', the minute later their defending one another, a few minutes after that they look like they're ready to cut each other up, ten seconds later...it's such a tempestuous relationship. But, hell, that has pretty much defined them.

And Lindsey does not look either comfortable nor like he even wants to be there in these TV interviews. They're mundane, yes, but he seems so jittery and is talking in an unusually loud voice.

But I like Stevie's hair & 'tude. It could be me insinuating drama, but I swear she threw some digs at the old man with the "not a stripper" (uh, didn't he-as she has told it- make her take her clothes off for the pic?) and then the Go Your Own Way thing (which is no biggie, but why that song?). Lindsey kinda just winces and then does some very weird forced smile thing. Honestly, he looks sedated for all the parts where he isn't wringing his hands and looking up at something on the ceiling.

wasn't her hip all fked up?
from that fall
i dont think this was menopause
since didnt she say that started during the Dance?
i think maybe she might have been able to deal with it?

Thank you so much for posting the link! I didn't know they were going to be on, and so missed the show...

Stevie looks great, they both do...but seriously? This time they are only doing hits? This Time?? Seriously????? Ok, I'll stop... I am begining :p to think that Stevie really believes we don't want to hear new stuff in concert ... I am intrigued to see the setlist...I wonder if they will pull out any of the 'hits' they don't normally do? Seven Wonders, maybe? That would be awesome (and of course, Sisters goes without saying...) the original verision of Big Love? ( I do love the acoustic version, in fact better than I ever liked the 'original vs', but it would be interesting to hear it performed that way) or will it be basically Rumours a go-go??? And, as others have said, I am curious as to what they will do with Christine's songs...

Stevie was probably thinking to herself, "No one wanted to hear GYOW then and I still don't want to hear it now!"

Well, I don't know if the stripper part was directed at him, but she does always say he was really angry with her and told her to stop being a child and this was art. I think she would have liked to tell the interviewer all of that, but Lindsey sitting there was kind of cramping her style.

Lindsey was acting weird in a major way, but I guess that's his way of being on good behavior. Of course, he couldn't get into his Sheryl Crow and "I told them not to coming knocking" nonsense that he usually engages in when he's alone. So, I imagine that's how he looks when he's trying restraining himself.

You're right. We all have people in our life who get on our LAST nerve (or maybe that's just me. LOL), and they make us tense and irritable. You do care and love them, but DANGIT, you want to strangle them sometimes too.

Then, you have people who you are calm and carefree around. There is no drama and it's alllll easy breezy. Sigh....

At the LB solo shows, it was almost TOO much of a love fest up there with those guys. LOL I'm kidding, but yeah, there's mutual respect, which....I'm not sure is there 100% with SnL.

Nico 12-13-2008 07:07 PM

I agree. I think Lindsey gets along REALLY well with Brett. But Brett is a sweetheart through and though: I really can't blame him.
