I say it again.I could care less if they record or not.I'm not going to condemn the band for their doings. Who said it was mandatory to put out a album.I look at it as a bonus. I would love another fresh new album like all of us want but get over it if they dont.

It says on the band's website in the Events section "There is nothing to display yet, check back soon" which makes me think there is a looming announcement of more tour dates.

I hope to hear a lot more from the band about their plans for 2016. Sadly there hasn't been any notable Fleetwood Mac news since the interview with Stevie which was at least a fortnight ago.

I guess all five of them are relaxing and recuperating after their world tour. I wonder if Stevie has been writing new songs on her piano, maybe in that house she bought and spent just two days in last year.

I think the majority of the set list is taken up by songs which they consider "must plays". The portion of the set list that would change is likely very small. IMO, if those songs are simply other old songs I'd rather not go.

They don't do much with the set list at all. Adding Sisters of the Moon was probably "out there" for a Mac tour. And that is so interesting considering the release of the Tusk box set where they were experimental. You would think they would mix up the set list every once in a while. But when it comes to touring, it is mainly the hits and very fine tuned performances of them. Don't get me wrong. Loved the tour. But it is nice to mix things up a bit.

It's funny you mention this. I do not like the way Tusk was sequenced. :laugh: For exactly the reasons you state. I can't believe there is literally an entire Buckingham-Nicks album between two Christine tracks!

If we are going to have the hits then there needs to be a place for Everywhere. I was sceptical about it based on past performances but it turned out to be one of the highlights for me. An absloute must do. Swap that for Say You Love Me and Why for Love In Store.
Also, don't we have an idea of a few more of the 'in-the-can' song titles in addition to Carnival Begin? Anyone?

Assuming that they release a new album before they tour again, I expect that the next tour set list will be the same as the OWTS set list, with only a few modifications:

I Know I'm Not Wrong/ Bleed to Love Her will be replaced by a new Lindsey song.

Over My Head/ Think About Me will be replaced by a new Christine song.

They'll do a new Stevie song in the spot where Seven Wonders was (for some reason, I think they'll keep Sara in the set).

What else would they change? The Rumours era songs aren't going anywhere. Tusk, I'm So Afraid, Rhiannon, Say You Love Me, acoustic Big Love, and Landslide aren't going anywhere. Maybe they'll replace Gypsy or Everywhere. :shrug: I don't want them to get rid of Little Lies, which was my favorite part of the last tour.

My personal "wish list" songs would be: Hold Me, Isn't It Midnight, Angel, Blue Letter, Eyes of the World, That's Enough for Me, and any of Christine's Tusk songs.

We do.. But I don't know which singer sings them. It's either Lindsey or Christine. I just did Carnival Begin because it had begin in the title.

I loved Everywhere, too. I hope they don't do Over My Head. I'd rather hear Sugar Daddy.. lol

The one song that really deserves a comeback is Hold Me.

I see these 5 songs to be dropped. If they release a double cd which I think they will do, they will do at least 5 new songs. I think this is the only ones that can be dropped from the most recent set;

The way the Stevie sang Silver Springs during the Dance show was incredible. I'll never need to hear it again.

For me, it captured everything I loved about B/N. And then with Christine's piano and harmony. It had so much passion and every lyric was kept in the moment by Stevie. Further, Lindsey and Christine worked so well off of Stevie with vocals and piano/guitar.

Every other performance that I've seen is always second.

Silver Springs was fantastic on the Dance tour. I think it should have been dropped after that tour. It's one of my all time favorite MAC songs but it's definetly not an easy song for Stevie to do these days.

That was a revelation. She nailed it and the band nailed it. Everything worked. I've rarely seen her embody passion and vocal control so well before or since.

I remember when I first saw the taped show. When that song was through, I leapt out of my chair and cheered. It was so spontaneous. I felt sheer joy that something great had been accomplished.

I also remember being wowed by You Make Loving Fun, and really digging the new arrangement of Say You Love Me. I also loved Temporary One and Bleed to Love Her. But it was Silver Springs that stole the show.

Except the back up singers kinda ruined the chorus. You can't even hear Christine and Lindsey.

Well, seven-year-old Australian me didn't see it on that tour. Or in 2004. Or 2009. Or 2013. So I'm VERY happy it stuck around, personally. Sounded good to me.

It's good. Just not explosive with the same passion. And that's what happens when you have to sing or act something a zillion times. They are only human.
But yes, I'm so glad you got to see it. You share so many things on here and elsewhere. You deserve it.

As good as the version from The Dance is, I think the SYW version packs in the anger almost as well. If choosing between the two then it's The Dance but I think it still was pretty damn good in SYW shows. It was fiery. I always wonder what Sara would have been like on The Dance tour...

Me too. I miss the upright piano for Sara.

The band was rocking during the SYW tour. Fleetwood Mac often steams ahead with real purpose when they have a new album to promote. Even though they didn't do a hell of a lot of SYW songs on that tour, the new material seemed to give them an urgency almost entirely absent in the two subsequent tours--and even in this On with the Show celebration. This is precisely why I want to see a new album from them before I ever see them on the road again. The new music will undoubtedly light a fire under them. That's always exciting to see....

By the way, did I mention how badly I want to see them release an album of new music? I don't know if I communicated that or not. :cool:

It's pretty standard for musicians to make music. :shrug:

to tie this back to newer music and Hold Me, I hope that the Christine songs have the feeling of the Hold Me demo from the Mirage sessions. She does funky piano so well and maybe Lindsey will keep her songs a little more rough this time around. One can dream anyway. Maybe he'll fill them up with awkward whispers instead?

Now, "Awkward Whispers" would be a good album title.

It's a shame, I really think he has little voice left. When I saw them last, he was ONLY singing what he had to. The backup girls were singing pretty much all the choruses.

Chris seems to be the only one who still has "most" of her voice still intact.

Agreed... she was pitchy to me the first night.. but she improved so much by the third show that I had seen. Stevie was not pitchy at all. But, she only sings 4 notes.

Yeah, live Christine did sound the best, but Lindsey still sounds (mostly) fine on albums. It seems to be only live, night after night, where he has an issue.

When talking to Mick at a meet and greet, he commented that the person who has weathered the best, talent wise, was Lindsey. He said that it always amazes him how Lindsey can be on stage 100% of the time during the concerts, never take a break for long, and keep on "screaming at the top of his lungs, and keep his voice intact." I think those were his exact words. Maybe this last tour was just too much for the guy though?

I have to agree. I brought a friend to one of the shows and the highlight of the show for him was watching LB. Amazing energy.

Lindsey's no spring chicken but I think this tour caught up with him. To be fair, a lot of his vocal work is 'shouty' so I can understand why he struggled. Christine started dodgy and then got better and better until the end of the Eurpean tour. Dont forget, they cancelled a couple of UK shows due to her voice problems and her singing at the Isle of Wight festival sounded quite poor. She was back on song for the London show I caught and it seems her voice for the Aus/NZ tour was great too.
