:laugh: Yep, those are some pretty awful lyrics there. But I love that song in the way that many people love "Save me a Place" for the music, production, harmonies, etc., not for the lyrics. Although I have to admit that every once in awhile, something totally cliche and shallow really affects me. "Come on baby, could you ever be just a little close to me," is exquisite to me for some reason, and even more so with Christine's vocals, of course. Just IMO, of course. :laugh:

I went back and noticed that you made a mistake in the votes for That's All For Everyone in Round 1. TAFE and NTF both had 5 votes in round 1. So technically they are both still tied and Not That Funny hasn't been voted out.

I'm just gonna go with Sara in this round mainly because it'll be too predictable a win for this game..so why not get rid of it now for the sake of originality.

Not That Funny was voted off already!? I question the methodology, that's for starters. Seems to me a run-off vote was necessary, since it was a tie. I call this whole thing into question. Is there an arbitrator on these threads?

Moving on. I Am always surprised at the negative passions that Save Me a Place stirs with some people. Tastes are hard to debate, yet the song has such so much appeal that certain reactions still manage to surprise me. It is one of the best songs Lindsey has ever done and may well be the best song in Tusk. Lindsey says with 30 words what a lot of songwriters, including his bandmates, couldn't say with 200.

Be that as it may, my vote goes to Brown Eyes. That's about the most boring song on the album, and unfortunately drags it down.

Seriously people, who is running this kangaroo court. ROUND MUST 2 BE DONE OVER. We need a mulligan here. This cannot stand!!

And I would add: Save Me a Place is the perfect song!!

As unfortunaly are several of Chris' songs on this album. Really, if you take the Lindsey songs, it is a fantastic solo record. If you take Lindsey's and Stevie's sans Beautiful Child, it's a beautiful band record. If you take those, Honey Hi and Think About Me, it's still a great band record.

No matter. It's by far FM's best record, on the strength of Lindsey's and Stevie's songs and Lindsey's ballsy production.

Exactly. I'm surprised no one else has spoken up about this. A great injustice is taking place here. What, do we have to bring in accountants to verify these results now?

Seems obvious to me: a tie requires a do-over.
