For anyone who's purchased it, thoughts so far?

Thanks for posting this.

It's good to know that our longtime sources are still reliable. Special thanks to Alex for FIRST reporting news of the April 30 release date (and then everyone trashing on it).

I have respect for Stevie since she was busy bee with her IYD projects and Dave Grohl's projects as the man of FM were recording these tunes. She was probably overloaded with work.

I got to hear the tunes out before I say anything.

AS long as her ooohs and aaahhhhs are in the tunes .I'm happy.

Hey, guys...I'm in New York, and I don't see the EP on the US Itunes to sample yet. Where are the samples you're listening to?

Thanks, Fireflies...hmmm...I'm going to need to hear these all the way through.

Needs more Stevie Nicks.

I'm enjoying the songs, but the EP itself seems insanely lopsided for it being Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac has always been an act of balance and one thing many people criticized SYW for was the fact that Chris was missing and it made the band and the album seem uneven. Stevie only wrote one song and has no lead vocals on this. Lindsey however has lead vocals on two songs, and sole vocal on another. As a fan, I love the songs. However, I feel the EP itself is by no means cohesive in any way and tie in the fact that Christine McVie is not on it and Stevie Nicks sings mostly backup, the general public will not fall in love with it. If these songs could be wrapped up with some really strong Stevie songs, this could turn into a brilliant album. However, I just don't see that happening. JMO.

Avail on the US store now. This artwork is embarrassing but who cares? New music!

Definitely cringing at what I'm hearing. :distress: Very middle of the road pop, and Stevie's vocals sound wretched. But then again, I almost always have a negative reaction to these previews. I thought all the clips from In Your Dreams were especially heinous, yet In Your Dreams turned out to be my favorite album of Stevie's solo career. So I'll have to reserve judgement until I've heard the full songs. :)

FYI, The EP is $3.96 or $.99 per song.

Just bought it~ Gotta say, I'm lovin' it. Yeah, I wish there was more Stevie tracks and it was more even. But either way I really like Miss Fantasy and the lyrics are beautiful. I've loved Sad Angel since the start. I think Without You was done beautifully while still remaining true to the demo we all know & love. I used to say I wanted Without You to be my wedding song, and I always wished we'd get a real recording. So i'm quite ecstatic for that :)
And It Takes Time is gorgeous.

I like the vocals on the snippet of Without You..they seem to be pretty evenly distributed (volume wise) between SN and LB..The music seems a little weird to me.

Fireflies 04-29-2013 10:27 PM

the songs are available in the us:

"without you" is terrible. i don't get the appeal.

edit: "sad angel" is great, everything else sucks.

I really like it. This proves they still have another album in them. Stevie you hear that? I think this will get reviewed well. It's all ready better then Say you Will.

Not used to hearing John and Mick on this track.

The last part of Without You is orgasmic! Extended Play... for her pleasure, indeed!
