She is probably allowed to exceed the ___ note no more than a dozen times per show. :shrug: I suppose this helps to ensure that she is keeping some left in the tank as the tour drags on...
Also, this is the same high note that she hits during "Without You:" "...in this complicated world and there you ARE..."

She's definitely made some significant adjustments over the last few years. There must be certain tones that do more damage than others. I guess it will preserve her voice and allow her to sing longer. But it is very strange not to hear the bridge of "Edge of Seventeen" ("the clouds never expect it...") or the signature growl that comes right after. She must also not be allowed to go deep on the word "home" in "Sara" and "Gold Dust Woman" or "taaaaaaake me home" in "Stand Back, because she sings it differently. It's disappointing, but I guess it must be done. |
