you're probably right, but I just HAVE to correct you nonetheless: If they are still smoking an occasional joint - and they do- it's not chemical influence. I hardly think they did LSD or nowadays Ecstacy.

You're definitely remembering the part correctly, but it wasn't in the 'Destiny Rules' doc... it's from the short "making of" that was part of the enhanced video content on disc 1 of 'The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac.'

Between the footage on that CD, the stuff used on VH1's 'All Access' special, and the actual documentary, it's difficult to keep it all straight!

Nope, no correction needed. The burning of a plant is a chemical process. The absorbtion of THC into the bloodstream is a chemical process. Alcohol is a chemical, and again, its absorbtion into the bloodstream is a chemical process.

Mystery solved. :thumbsup: Now I have to whip out that cd. I've never actually even watched that footage, I thought it was just a trailer for the doc. Or was that also the clip where Lindsey is kind of laughing off the fact that Stevie's dogs keep yapping through the recording sessions? Am I mixing stuff up again? Could be that was in the All Access doc also...

And, we don't need any more damned compilations...either finish up the remaster/reissue of the entire back catalogue (Then Play On to Heroes Are Hard To Find and Mirage to The Dance) or record a new album. Or, just call it a day, since the band doesn't seem to be the priority for either remaining songwriter.
