Folks, before you waste your vote, keep in mind that SAVE ME A PLACE HAS IMMUNITY!

May the deity bestow you with eternal happiness, virility and ceaseless foresight, young Homer!

A vote for Save Me a Place is a vote for BUSH!
Besides, Save Me a Place has immunity!

I don't think there's any saving "Save Me A Place" this time, unless this immunity thing gets confirmed. Man it had a good run, though. This thread's getting so difficult to follow! I think we should start a new thread each round, lol...

My vote (as pointless as it shall be this time around) will go to "Walk a Thin Line" just to show that I am capable of voting against Lindsey. :p

My vote goes to "Save Me A Place" because it is easily the worst track on TUSK. If this absurd immunity change for SMAP holds up, then I'm voting for "That's Enough For Me".

IMMUNITY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE CHANGED ONCE THE ROUND STARTS!

Says who!? I want to see the rule stating this. You can't just make up rules as you go along when something happens you don't like.

Who is running this game, John Asscroft! ? Katherine Harris! ? The DEVIL! ?

jwd 08-25-2004 08:39 AM

What if a person changed immunity close to the end of a round? All the previous votes for that particular song would be void. Talk about disenfranchising! Come on, let's use common sense on this folks and be fair. :)

I agree with you, jwd. I somehow think if the song was something other than Save Me A Place, Carne wouldn't be so enthusiastic about changing immunity after the round starts! :wavey: ;)

Hey, I have no fundamental difference with your position. The problem is precedent is against you. Immunity was changed before, I believe, only two nights ago. So why should it be ruled out now?

Besides, there is mass confusion right now. A lot of people don't know which song has immunity. I would play it safe and vote for neither. Otherwise, I am going on the assumption, based on precedent, that SMAP has immunity.

Precedent has to matter.

I am shocked, astounded and disappointed at this accusation! :distress:

My goal has always been to play a clean, fun game and let the chips fall where they may. But you have to admit that this round has fallen into disarray. Without a clear ruling on which song has immunity, a lot of players are going to have trouble deciding which song to vote for.

So, either we go on precedent and allow SMAP to retain immunity, or this round must be declared invalid, unequivocally!!

Aw, Carne, I was just teasin' ya! :xoxo:

This round is in total disarray, ITA. I'm not going to vote until things are straightened out. But I don't think it's right to change immunity once people have voted on a particular song, based on the original immunity.

That is a reasonable argument. However, some people voted thinking WATL had immunity and then others started to vote thinking SMAP had immunity. Either way, it's a mess. So I say we either go with precedent or invalidate the round.

Where is Jimmy Carter when we need him?

I think you're thinking of vote changing, not immunity changing. Anyway, I'm not going to belabor this anymore. Have a nice day everyone. :wavey:

I don't think immunity has been changed before this round. Jacob is the only one who can clarify the situation, so I'll wait for his response too.

But that didn't happen. It happened a few minutes after the round started and the few people who voted have the opportunity to change their vote to something else.

Save Me A Place HAS IMMUNITY.
