If we are in fact getting a deluxe and - most importantly - remastered edition of Mirage, I will be very excited.

As those have previously mentioned, Mirage is certainly not FM's best release. I'm afraid that the band never was able to recapture the glory that was the 1970s trilogy. However, Mirage does have stand out songs and a beautiful production.

I will admit that I rarely listen to Mirage. This has always been due to the dire mastering of the CD version. I do not own the original vinyl version, so I cannot say if it sounds good or not (I assume that the original vinyl is superior to the CD/digital version). I'm someone who cannot stand the poor quality of 80s/early 90s CDs and, therefore, Mirage and Tango are rarely ever heard through my speakers. In fact, the only Mirage/Tango tracks I regularly listen to are the remastered versions on the Very Best Of 2-CD compilation. So, to have a remastered version of Mirage (and hopefully Tango) will be an excellent edition to my collection. I feel that if there is a quality sounding copy of the album that I will gain more of an appreciation for the work during the Fleetwood Mac 80s era.

If the band's management really wants to make fans happy (and make some money), they might be best to release a Mirage/Tango combo with both albums remastered (and all the extra stuff like B-sides, demons, live tracks). A complete 80s release from the band would be beyond awesome.

This would leave room for a super deluxe release of the white album, which would be a fitting release for the band's final tour.


Of course, an actual new album would be the best surprise of all.

I'm afraid that's been simply skipped. I would like more than anything to have a super deluxe release for the White Album but even the 2004 reissue didn't bring anything new but the single mixes of a few songs, only two unreleased. ù
I'm afraid that being the band's first experiment it hasn't been documented very well.

Also, what else besides the tracks on the White Album were recorded? I remember reading somewhere that Sorcerer was recorded, but I've never heard a version from that era besides the coffee plant demos.

I wonder if we'll get another box set. .

Mirage was one of their five albums that went to number one.

Even though I always liked (though not loved) Lindsey's Mirage songs and I have come around a long way to "Hold Me", for me this period is absolutely made by Stevie. Which is funny considering how fast that changed into the exact opposite by the next album. But "Gypsy", "That's Alright", "Smile At You", "If You Were My Love" ... goodness, and her voice! I'm super excited for this release and all the goodies that I desperately hope will come of it.

I remember that too, but I think it turned out to be just a rumour.
I know it circulates a live version of Warm Ways from the white album rehearsals so maybe there is somewhere a soundboard with a few songs from those.
There may be some unreleased soundboard from the tour.
They could find the material of the Santa Barbara show from which they made the Rosebud documentary and the clip from Fleewtood Mac at 21.
They could finally give us the HD performances from the Midnight Special in DVD.
They could at least try to scrap something.

Well I doubt they're going to release just a 5.1 mix so I'm sure there will be multiple discs

Hopefully it will have a lot of rare stuff. I'm extremely skeptical about a June release date. Did he say what year? June 2017 I would believe. :)

Yeah, is this 5.1 mix the last thing they need to complete for this release? I won't believe it until there's a press release about it.

What a way to kick off the summer. Besides hoping for multiple discs, I hope for artwork to be enclosed. Mirage was extremely stingy when it came to artwork in the inside compared to Tusk and Rumours (previous albums). I would love to see photoshoots from this era enclosed in the package. IMHO the band was at its beauty peak at this time.

I wouldn't mind a vinyl release as well.

I'll take it that the band wanted this as a birthday present to me...I mean, that's probably right. If only it were here now to listen to while I wait for a late plane. Those sweet sweet harmonies could help me forget all these people picking their noses in public!

I hope they press the vinyl right. My Tusk Deluxe set had a misprint,which I returned and changed twice. All three copies I got lacked Side three. Yes with IKINW.

I would even settle for a few live songs if not the entire concert. Love In Store, Gypsy, Eyes of the World, Straight Back rehearsal, Sisters of the Moon, The Chain, Hold Me.
Just to have those professionally released live would make me high as a kite.

I hope we get an entire live set from the Mirage tour like we did on the deluxe Tusk.

If only the band could be as efficient and timely in their studio work.

I kinda wish Lindsey was involved in the production of this deluxe Mirage. At least Ken was though. I wonder if Mick will promote this on his Facebook and Instagram like he did for deluxe Tusk.

REALLY hope there's a couple of live tracks. The SotM from this tour would be amazing!
