No disrespect to FM, or the fans who worship the current band...but just seeing her up there, makes me realize why FM has been the soundtrack to my life. And it also makes me realize why the current incarnation just simply bores me to tears, for the most part. Christine is the heart and soul of the band. And of course I've always known that. But seeing these pics of her, is practically bringing me to tears. Reminding me of what's missing... |
Ageed, It's not the same at all without Christine. I'm just amazed that we still have a Fleetwood Mac after all these years.

Stevie & Lindsey tried Don't Stop in a lower key on the 1st (maybe a few more) date on the Unleashed tour. It didn't sound right I guess, so it went right back up to E for the rest of the tour, and yeah it does sound a bit strained now and again. |

But regardless, I don't think it'd be that much of a learning curve. And like you said, she could easily transpose it with the push of a button and keep on playing it the same as always. |

I don't think anyone ever really said that Christine could not record with the group because she would not tour with SYW. I don't think she was pressured to tour either.
I think the recording idea just fell apart, for whatever reason. The band put up the story about the reason they didn't record with her was because then people might expect to hear her when they went to the concert as a cover for whatever the real reason she did not record was, just like they said that stuff about Stevie Crow not wanting to rehearse on mother's day. They put a diplomatic face on things. But I never bought that as the reason. I think they would have loved to draw attention to their album by having Christine's sound on there, if everything had worked out, which is probably why Steal Your Heart Away was on there, even though we'd already had it twice before. Christine's sound would be a welcome return to FM as far as I'm concerned, but I also worry that they'd all worry too much about being commercially viable in today's market to really produce the kind of sounds I loved most from the band. Still, something's better than nothing. She looks great and I hope she had fun.

Just a brief side note I cannot let go by unnoticed..Steven Tyler most definitely is wearing women's jeans from Free People. I don't know if I hate or love that.. :p http://www.freepeople.com/clothes-de...ge-bali-flare/ |
Wow, I reallllly wish John was there too

It can't be Fleetwood Mac without John. Mick, John, Christine, and Rick could legitimately be called Fleetwood Mac, right? |

She looks and sounds amazing. I was worried that she might have gotten to rusty and up their in age. But I see by the video that she could tour tomorrow and sound and look amazing. DO IT Christine! At least put your vocals on those songs recorded all ready. Life's too short! I'm hoping that she felt that rush she hasn't felt in years. Gardening must get old after a decade plus! It's only 6 months out of your life and then back to gardening for 3 years!

http://images.politico.com/global/20...ion_ap_328.jpg After further review, the video clearly shows that it is indeed enough to be considered Fleetwood Mac. (See what I did there?) |

On the other hand, I mean, look at the way Mick performed in England and Christine didn't get up on stage. But you can say that whatever made her not want to get up wouldn't have kept John away. I guess I just assume he was in the audience and Mick gave a "shout out" to him at some point during the night. Michele |

Christine looked mighty hot on that 1993 video too. Michele |
So, there's a guy coming onto the Ledge who couldn't post before, but now he can and he should be here soon. But he wanted to tell us what Christine played.

So did she play again last night?!
On the name point, I've always understood that Mick and John own the right to the name 'Fleetwood Mac' and so in theory could use it when they wished. Different, say, to the old arguments Pink Floyd had, where they had to seek legal advice before the position was clear. |
