Yup, i bought that More magazine when it came out the first day...LOL! I but like all the mags that have people I like on them...Anyway, yeah, I showed my theatre teacher that article and she said that she rocks...LOL! My teacher then borrowed it and copied the article and the pics for her class...When she showed the pics, everyone was like: "Ewwww..." I think that was so awful when I heard her class did that...Then in my English class, I was sitting in my seat and drawing a pic of Jamie for my artclass and this teacher that was a sub, she came up and started talking about Jamie and she was like, "That woman is so perfect and has the best body and legs." I then took out my mag and was like, "Actually...She's not perfect." I showed her the pics and her mouth just dropped and then the guys in the class came over and looked at the pics and they were like, "Ewww...That's really what she looks like?" I was about to beat their a$$es b/c they were not so good looking themselves--Morons!

Notice Nicks' weight gain from the PEACEKEEPER video of earlier this year, to the clip from the June SYW Chicago concert, both shown on the Charlie Rose show last night? Quite egregious, unfortunately.

WHAT? THAT WAS ON? I TURNED THE TV ON TO THE STATION AND TIME IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME ON AND IT WASN'T....GOD FRICKEN...BLAH! *cries* Did Lindsey say anything about Stevie--besides him being her friend? *wink wink* Now, what about her weight? She gained? Meh..I'm confused but even if she did gain, she's still beautiful...:nod:

So, so true!!! It's just as tough for men these days. Although, to be fair, women have been objectified so heavily and so intensely for soooo long, that I can understand why the " is so fat" is usually related to a woman.

The media sucks big time and I'm soooooo glad I have digital TiVo!! I only watch what I wanna watch and when I do (if they're there) I zip RIGHT PAST allll those awful commercials.

I still can't belive that "Girls Gone Wild" dude is still in business, but I catch a glimpse of that stuff every now and then as TiVo is flying by.

For every "Girls Gone Wild", there's a "Bowflex" :distress: :distress:

I was lucky enough to get up close at the end of the concert and see her sing "Goodbye Baby". Stevie looked GREAT, there was not one damn thing wrong with the way she looked. She looked exactly as I thought she would, beautiful. More importantly, she sounded great too.

I stand by my word....Stevie Nicks is too heavy......

Oh, PLEASE! Give me a break. I saw her during the first 2 weeks in the tour and I have seen pictures and seen her in video since then and she looks absolutely amazing. She's not the rail thin 29 year old she was during Rumours. She's a 55 year old woman. And she's up there busting her ass every night for US. I can't stand how some posts have become so damn mean and just brutal towards her around here. She's happy, she's beautiful, she sounds wonderful. I second Pip's sentiment- GET OVER THE WEIGHT THING.

Oh, and what is "too heavy" by your standards? Remember she is 5'1", so even if she puts on five pounds it will look like way more. How about focusing on the music instead of how Stevie looks? I was talking to a coworker yesterday who had seen the Charlie Rose interview. She's actually really likes FM and Stevie....anyway, she said that Stevie looked like she put on weight....i didn't get a chance to ask her when the last time she saw her was or put on weight since when? i kinda get tired of people saying that only because, yes, ok she's not as thin as she was 20 something years ago so are they saying she's put on weight since then or since last year? the dance? i have to always ask people to clarify....anyway, i saw the clip of "say you will" live and she looked normal to me....i really can't tell anymore....i think the way she has her hair just makes her face look a little different....it's so straight now and parted down the middle that it may make her face look a little bigger. big hair tends to make your face look thinner.

Nicks was never rail thin.....never.....Especially at age 29.....

If someone would post a picture of Bill Clinton's inauguration with Nicks, you'd see she looks the same on the current SYW tour as she did then. Just as heavy.....

Again, I was surprised when I saw the change in her from the Peacekeeper video which was just months ago, and the current Say You Will Tour.....

OK, I retract saying "rail thin." She was never Lara Flynn Boyle-ish. But she DID have a thin frame for her size.

And so WHAT if she weighs the same now as she did during the Inauguration? (which could be true but who really knows) Doesn't it matter to you at all that she's a million times happier now than she was back then, and that has helped her to make better music?? And feeling better has allowed her to do a world tour with FM this year when they were originally planning just 40 cities? Can you imagine where she would be now if she hadn't gotten off that tranquilizer? I don't even want to think about it. :distress:

I have a feeling that all those good things don't matter to some around here and she will be constantly put down no matter what anyone else says. So I will try to keep my mouth shut from now on-- not worth the frustration! :laugh:

It's actually in Nicks' hips and derriere I noticed the excess weight...

....As you age, your face gets slimmer even though you may be heavy, because your head shrinks......

The thing is a fail to see what it matters that she has put on weight. It just isn't important to me. She is still Stevie to me. As I said before when she takes to the stage in the UK I won't stand there thinking about her weight gain. I will just be bloody glad that she is finally in the UK and I'm getting to see her.

has gone on long enough. I have been disturbed by it from the beginning but 11 pages of sometimes not too nice discussion over a person's weight is too much even for liberal-minded me=:-)

As the moderator of this forum I am asking you politely to drop this issue.

To quote MLK, Jr. 'people should be judged by the content of their character'.

Character-wise, Stevie amazes me. I have personal experience with substance addiction as both my parents were alcoholics, and I have to admire somebody who had the determination to kick the habit.

I don't know about you but I would go as far as saying she looks better now, than when she was on her Shangri-La tour.......
and I got to be up close and personal back in 2001 briefly....and can honestly say Stevie has THE most amazing presence, eye contact, and disposition, along with all the superficial things like hair to die for, amazing skin, nails and a nice wardrobe.

Stevie's eye contact well what can I say but it is almost as if she is looking into your soul, really penetrating. The feeling I got is nothing like I have experienced before...truly amazing.

The eyes really are the windows to a persons soul....:)
