Yep and it sounds better with them.

It's great short and it's great long. I like it better on stage than on the album, but it's fun there too. I may not have liked it as much when it was used for Mick's drum solo, but a real gem.

And something else that is a short, electric pump of adrenaline is Gift of Screws. I wish Lindsey would do that again.

Is this available for purchase somewhere (can't find it on iTunes or Amazon)? I liked this song a lot more after watching (or hearing) the "Guitar Lesson" on the creation of this song.

The song Gift of Screws is great live (wish there was a good soundboard recording of it). Like most Lindsey songs (Go Your Own Way being an exception, at least for me), the live renditions of his songs are generally better - you can feel the energy and emotion (Wembley version of The Chain is now my new favorite, supplanting The Dance version).

Pretty sure the only time recently that Not That Funny was the "looooonnnnng version" was on The Dance tour in 1997 where it included Mick's drum solo. It was effectively replaced by World Turning in every tour since 2003. The only other time it's been played after was 2013 and that was the short version.

Empire State, Oh Diane, Caroline, My Little Demon...BLEH

You sure you're not confusing "Time Precious Time" with "It Takes Time"? "Time Precious Time" is on the official Gift of Screws, and "It Takes Time" is on EP.

The song doesn't exist with FM. I was just saying that.

But I like or love or can at least tolerate everything else. :)

I like What Makes You Think You're The One & Not That Funny. Never thought of them as being "bad" It did, however, take me a few listens for me to like then eventually love them. Now they are some of my favorites by him. I agree with you about the rest of the songs you named... puke... especially Family man. That's just abuse to the ears.

I like "Teen Beat" a whole lot, it's just this fun and inconsequential bit of rock and roll infused with Lindsey craziness. I think "Empire State" is ridiculousy fun too, and I like "Oh Diane" (although yes, it's filler) and "Make Me a Mask" as well. As for the Tusk songs, I just think they can get a little same-samey when you're listening straight through the album, but I like them all.

I am notoriously unfond of Tango in the Night and I find it harder to look beyond the production on Lindsey's songs compared to, say, Christine's. Given "Family Man" has a nice solo but otherwise manages to sound even goofier than "Caroline" I'll call it a tie between those two. I used to be more forgiving of "Caroline", but I forget why now.

Also "What's the World Coming To" is really bland and disappointing, it's like "Say You Will"'s twin.

That's enough for me (because of the yeah yeahs)

I actually love the weird harmonies on Empire state and think the song is pretty cool.

Bingo...me too. Love the weird harmonies that travel across the speakers.

Love Empire State, a brilliant opener for a side 2.
The worst song for me is :sorry: Bleed To Love Her, I really tried to like it, but:shrug:

I'm not crazy about it, either.
