I used to have that one also, but I can't find it anymore. The only other demo of Sara that I have that is not the Cleaning Lady demo is 8.18 minutes.

a version of the "Cleaning Lady" demo somewhere on CDR that is about 16 minutes long (It might be on one of the compilations I have with the 15 minute "The Nightmare" demo - I'll have to search it out.)

When Tusk was originally issued on CD it only had the shorter single version of Sara on it, where about a minute of the song was edited out, and the only place you could get the full version, that was on the original vinyl, was on The Chain boxset. That Sara compilation was made before the Tusk remaster was released.

I have that Sara compilation. It's pretty good too. I think it was on the Stevie Nicks Underground site a few years back.

What about "Greatest Hits"? My vinyl copy has the full version on it as does the CD.

Did you guys notice in one of the two recent versions of Sara that were posted as she's singing the ad lib at the end she sings "and the wind became crazy". How cool is that??? And the audience goes nuts. I don't think she even did that in the Tusk days.

For me, Sara is all about the ad libs at the end. That's where the song really shines for me.

No, you're right, the Greatest Hits CD has it too.
But my point was the original CD issue of the Tusk album had an edited version.

In the original version on my vinyl of Tusk (which I bought when it came out LOL) -- she does say "and the wind became crazy" and "could you speak a little louder" -- they are just hidden in the dark swirling music at the end. Until I first heard the "Cleaning Lady" version of Sara, I had no clue what she was saying and thought it was "how could you stand to live without her?"

"and the wind became CRAZY. But there's a heart beat that never really died. It NEVER really died, would you SWALLOW all your pride!? ooh well could you speak a little louder? (and then Lindsey goes "WOOOOOOAHHHH") All I ever wanted, was to know that you were dreaming"

thats all i can make out from the actual album version of Sara
