I went to 6 shows when they came to the UK in 2003. The fact they very rarely come here added to the need to go to multiple shows! We have to grab what we can!

I went to a few shows on each leg. I had a blast. I met some really really cool people that I am still friends with after a few years and we do things outside of FM events. So, for me, it was worth it in spades

The second part of my post wasn't really meant to be condescending, per se, but yeah, I thought a couple of responses were a bit over-the-top in the level of adoration for various band members. I certainly not taking issue with it as some kind of problem or calling out people to justify themselves, I'm just saying I find it a little out there. |

I saw them 4 times on the SYW tour, discouraged from seeing more only by geography. I think the "what if" point has been made, but I was so excited to be in the audience during the second Houston show where she led the entire amphitheater in the last part of "Landslide". She seemed really tickled, and she hadn't done it at any of the previous 3 shows. Of course, a better time to ask me this question would be when I'm standing up front, the crickets come on, and I hear the first notes of "The Chain". I think the expression on my face would say it all.

Woodlands show!!
That is one of my favorite shows (that stupid, drunk beyotch aside  ) because I was front row and gave Lindsey the book and poster I made for him. Lots of people told me (that includes Ledgies AND strangers) that he showed it to Stevie too! Sigh.....that was such a great show.
Anyways, that's another reason to see them over and over (dammit, pun intended! LOL)....the audience. Some audiences suck a$$ (Dallas), and some totally rule (Woodlands...again, stupid, drunk beyotch aside. LOL). The audience can make a show miserable or tons of fun. |

I know that many of you are comforted by their music in general, but I am comforted too, by the familiarity of it all. I know the set list, I know what Stevie and Lindsey will say, and I like it.
That's why we like songs that we know the words to...FAMILIARITY. And why we see a movie more than once. I'd rather do something (concerts, experiences, etc.) than regret I never had the chance. The prices are very high, and many of us can't fit it in to the budget. And, if you consider flying to a show...wellll...that's quite expensive. That being said, I paid $277 for a round trip flight to Las Vegas and 4 nights at the Excaliber Hotel!!! Quite worth it!!! And...MY BOYFRIEND WANTS TO MARRY ME IN VEGAS!!! Thank you Fleetwood Mac. :xoxo: |
