Doesn't Antyhing Last is greatness <--- Christy and Livia, how do you abstain from listening... I remember you were doing it int he leadup to SYW. I guess I am made of weaker stuff. I think you're gonna love this one Christy. For me it sounds like Lindsey has written a very Stevie song.

Butter Cookie on the other hand, I love the music, but the vocals are so whiny and the lyrics are a bit lame - I felt like saying 'Stop whinging and go to sleep!' Believe me, I'm a big Christine fan. It was just a bit too 'Oh Daddy' for me (not one of my favourite songs).

Stevie should have een left in oh Daddy. Not all of those vocals, but most of them. It helps set off Chris' voice so that you don't get used to it.. you're always being made aware of the quality of her voice, because it's being compared with Stevie's, back and forth. If that makes any sense.

No one's answered my question - Listen to the piano in Mic the Screecher. Does anyone else think that it could be Planets of the Universe? Possibly Stevie playing?

Did anyone else who received the fan club email about this sneek preview notice that they can't even spell Rumours right?! ('U' left out, of course.) NICE!!! :) :distress: :)

While I still totally love the piano demo of Planets, I really like this more "finished" version. Actually, much better than the over-produced one on TISL.

I hated the darn "screecher" thing - my boyfriend said "What the HELL is THAT?! Turn it off!!!"

"Doesn't Anything Last"... why wasn't this finished and recorded. This shows it's one of the best songs they ever did. I dig "Butter Cookie" and the 'new' version of "Think About It", too.

I think I had heard that version of "Songbird" before but since I'm not a huge bootleg collector I can't be positively sure. As for most of the other things, they were new to me.

Can't wait!

Song of the moment - Doesn't Anything Last

Wow Stevie's voice on Oh Daddy is haunting for an already stunning song.

I really like Butter Cookie too. Christine really shows she can play great arrangements on the electric piano.

Never Going back - Wow

Think About it - need to get used to I may like the Bella donna Ver better

Well, it's not really that difficult - since I prefer my first listen to be on my kick-ass, home stereo, rather than thru crappy computer speakers. I kind of have a ritual at home that I can't do at work. ;) Also, I don't have a computer at home, and the constant interruptions at work are too annoying. I've been trying to listen to that Beautiful Child remix all afternoon, and I keep having to pause it, or turn it down, to deal with co-workers. No thank you!

And, I'm still pissed at myself for listening to that AOL version of Smile At You before the album came out. Because to this day, I STILL hear that annoying "AOL first listen" thing in my head whenever I listen to the CD.

Well...

I'll probably crack before next Tuesday. LMAO!!

I want to listen SOOOO bad, especially after reading a few posts on this thread....and especially about NGBA...but *bites knuckle*

You guys are killing me. I'm determined to not listen until I get my CDs in the mail, dammit!!

Well...

I still haven't listened to a single track from these new re-issues and I do not plan to until they are in my hands...

I gotta say, I'm really enjoying the download of this Rumours re-issue...I wasn't going to preorder it and wasn't in any rush to purchase these re-releases but this download has really changed my mind. I've been listening to it non-stop at work and getting lots of compliments from coworkers, it's a great work album...

but like Livia says, I'm looking forward to listening to the cd on a real stereo but even with crappy computer speakers, the cd sounds great. :)
