My little asparagus. Now, try to convince me that's not romantic!?
LMAO!! I'm kidding. Anyone remember when Niles was trying to come up with pet names for Daphne on Frasier and she hated them all? LOL Finally, he goes "my love" and she goes "That's it." Awww...LOL |

Besides for the White Album, these sound pretty good.
I can't wait! :D |
I must say i love all of the tracklisting
It's gonna be an even longer 2 months now :( ;) I love hearing alternate versions of don't stop and go your own way. (the later i have in a million difirent live versions but no demo or outtake yet) On tusk sisters alone is enough for me as it remains my alltime fav song , wonder what version it is Kinda cool that now we still have something to speculate and discuss about till that great day in march arives. I will definately be getting the White album too. I'm very curious about this jam track !! Would have also got it if it only had the single versions (hell would even have picked it up bare bones :p ) As i said it is gonna be a long wait hehe greetings marc |
So much stuff to take in, and more comments to make....
I just realized there isn't a bonus version of "Tusk." That's kind of disappointing, because there's a really terrific alternate version on the bootleg CD 'Ivory: The Tusk Outtakes,' that blows the album version out of the water (different from the alternate mix they used on '25 Years - The Chain'). Oh well! In regards to "Silver Springs" on the bonus disc... I'm wondering if they added a version of "Silver Springs" to the main disc, and this is a bonus alternate version. Or if this is the one and only version of "Silver Springs" they used. There are so many alternate versions of that song, they could have easily added more than one. Oh, and add me to the list of people who love "I Know I'm Not Wrong." :D |

however i just put it on and already had the cd ready to compare but this was by no means nesecary as it was as clear as can be I agree with you who A. say they love this song (wich i already did) and B. prefer the vinyl version instead of the cd version. Makes me wonder why they put an alternate version on to begin with as if the editing of sara wasn't bad enough :( greetings marc |
Dude, I've never had the vinyl version. What's different?
|
Other than the lyrics & the chord changes, EVERYTHING. The kitchy harmonica riff is mixed well in the background on the vinyl version, there's little background vocals. The LP version kicks more ass than the CD version.
|
I have to say, the CD mix is nifty in its own way, but the LP version is SO MUCH better.
Never did understand why they changed it. Did someone just goof and use the wrong mix when mastering the CD, or was it intentional? Same with the different versions of "Straight Back" between the LP and CD of 'Mirage.' (I realized today how greedy I am... these remasters aren't even released yet, and I'm already wondering how long we'll have to wait before we get 'Live,' 'Mirage,' and 'Tango.') |
