I agree fully that we shouldn't be bringing up sales as a measure of Greatness. If we did NSYNC would be one of the greatest bands of all time. And to move closer to the 70's The Eagles would be far superior to Fleetwood Mac which they are not. But just because something is the most popular doesn't mean it's the lowest comon denomenator. The Beatles are always considered the #1 band in any list but the national guard and the bomb squad would flock to my house if I said something bad about them (I Like them by the way just an example)
