Sorcerer - SN solo - suggested by hawkeye
Frozen Love - BN track - suggested by hawkeye
If You Were My Love - SN demo - suggested by sleepless-child
Twisted - SN & LB duet/SN solo - suggested by sleepless-child
Dreams - not a deep cut - suggested by cantgoback

That's The Way Love Goes - LB solo - suggested by AliceLover
Don't Let Me Down Again - BN track - suggested by Amlyn
Big Love - not a deep cut - suggested cantgoback

"If you were my love" was recorded as a FM demo too. Considering the way they were writing (everyone writing individually, then putting the songs in common to work on it together), it is to me as much of a FM song as, say, "Dreams". I really disagree on this one, because FM demo > SN demo, and it was the closest to being released on Mirage. Then if you don't consider demos as "deep cuts" that's something else, but honestly i don't see why there should be so many rules.
I also see "Twisted" more as a collaboration than a Stevie song, but if i have to replace those two, i would replace it with "Beautiful child" (or is this not an option because it was already done live??), and "Fireflies".

SorcererUK 02-17-2013 08:21 AM

Lindsey:
Tango In the Night
Caroline
Can't Go Back

Stevie:
Sisters of the Moon
Welcome To the Room Sara
Angel

Lilyfan 02-17-2013 09:33 AM

Stevie:
Battle of the Dragon
Outside the Rain
Running Through the Garden

Lindsey:
Love Runs Deeper
Holiday Road
I don't know what I want for the third song.

yeah we were just considering released versions.

rules or no rules (and i'm all for thinking outside the box!), i don't ever see Mac doing live some unreleased demo these days.

we tried to make Lindsey do Deep Dense as a request at one of his solo shows, and he wasn't happy (well, he had other reasons for not being happy that particular time, but still... we knew we were pushing it with that one!).

Beautiful Child was done live just on one tour, so still a deep cut. i'll add that as you choice to the list together with Fireflies (although if Stevie wants to do Twisted, with Lindsey singing it with her as on the released version, as one of her "FM" deep cuts i would be delighted probably even more than you).

i guess only RTTG would fit since we are looking for FM "deep cuts" in this thread, not solo songs - can you give it another try?

 Twisted might be one of my top 5 Stevie Nicks songs, because of those shared moments with Lindsey.
Well i don't ever see FM doing any of those deep cuts (or maybe one or two?). So i just thought i'd be unrealistic since we were already being unrealistic, you know. But i get it.

New songs, of course, go without saying.

For older, deep cuts...

That's Alright
Angel
Seven Wonders

The Ledge
Can't Go Back
Miranda

gypsy-sara 03-01-2013 09:04 AM

Stevie:
Sisters Of The Moon
Seven Wonders
When I See You Again

Lindsey:
Isn't It Midnight (ok, it's more Christine's song... but Lindsey co-wrote it and I love this song so much - i want to hear it live)
Tango In The Night
Caroline

If I could choose the entire setlist, it would include some pre-1975 stuff, Lindsey's "Trouble", songs from Christine as well and it would also focus heavily on Stevie's solo career.
I do not need "Stand back", "Rhiannon", "Oh Well", "Go Your Own Way" and "Say You Love Me" again.

1) Seven Wonders
2) Big Love
3) Hypnotized (1973)
4) Future Games (1971)
5) If Anyone Falls (Stevie)
6) The Chain
7) Silver Springs
8) Tango In The Night
9) Sisters Of The Moon
10) Woman Of A Thousand Years (1971)
11) Storms
12) You Make Loving Fun
13) Second Hand News
14) Why (1973)
15) Monday Morning
16) When I See You Again
17) Landslide
18) I'm So Afraid
19) Don't Stop
20) Edge Of Seventeen (Stevie)
21) Trouble (Lindsey)
22) Welcome To The Room... Sara
23) Man Of The World (1969)
24) Annabel Lee (Stevie)
25) Moonlight - A Vampire's Dream (Stevie)
26) Caroline
27) Tusk
28) Gold Dust Woman
29) Isn't it Midnight

Encore:
30) Gold (Stevie)
31) Dreams
32) Gypsy
33) Sara

Stevie
Fireflies
That's Alright
Say You Will

Lindsey
Can't Go Back
Blue Letter
Countdown (Hey Stevie gets solo songs!)

Band
Farmer's Daughter (I can dream can't I?)

Played Fireflies last night for the first time in many years, Gawd, I LOVE that song!

thanks for playing. :)

we were selecting solo songs from SN and LB each in some of the other threads. for these 6 i was thinking of just FM officially released deep cuts. so if you want to replace a solo song, that would be great too. i can update the numbers in that summary thread which is somewhere buried now but i'll find it.

I'm loving how often certain favourite tracks of mine are appearing in this thread. The likes of That's Alright, Angel, When I See You Again (a truly inspired choice given how many fans dislike it) and Fireflies getting some attention is really a thrill for me. If just one of these sees the light of day, I will be most satisfied.
I also love the idea of The Farmer's Daughter (especially if Christine was to join them for the odd show), Lindsey's Countdown (which is the most Fleetwood Mac sounding solo track he's ever done) and some of Stevie's tracks from the Say You Will album (I bet she could improve upon every recorded vocal).
I think Lindsey should also consider pulling out Soul Drifter as it's such a gorgeous song. Stevie harmonising with him on this and Countdown would be fabulous.
I know I've said this many times before, but when Soldier's Angel is inevitably performed, everyone must remember to allow their inner groans forth. Boo this atrocity off the stage and put it to bed once and for all. Put it down to tough love - she needs to know!

yeah it's interesting to see how some songs that seem to be really despised by many are loved by many as well! there was a thread somewhere in which many people have listed how much they dislike What Makes You Think and yet, it's one of the 3 LB songs with the most recommendations for the upcoming tour. guess some songs just elicit strong feelings and opinions, one way or the other.

in the spirit of that, Soul Drifter and Countdown (such generic song imo other then when he does inspired guitar solo) are at the bottom of the list of many many LB solo songs that i would love hear performed by the Mac.

lol re booing SA.

This is a Fleetwood Mac concert. Not a Stevie solo show. The audience wants to hear Stevie and Lindsey equally. You need to have some LB songs in the encore. Dreams would make a great encore song.

MacShadowsBall 03-02-2013 10:02 PM

Here's mine...pretty simple!

Stevie
Sisters of the Moon
Angel
Crystal (duet style with Lindsey)

Lindsey
Blue Letter
Save Me a Place
Tango in the Night

Edit: Just saw what everybody else was voting for...I seem to be normal!

Of course you're right - but don't forget that it was just my personal choice, the perfect setlist of my dreams - and in the case of "Gold": that was a John Stewart song, a duet with Stevie - but if I remember right, Lindsey was involved in that song, too. ;)

Lindsey and Stevie would perfectly harmonize here, and it would deliver great energy at the end of the set, whereas I would consider it a perfect choice for the encore and a big surprise as well - instead of only delivering the obvious standards... They should definitely NOT play the same greatest hits set as four years ago, and I think we are all agreeing on this one... :blob2:

And sadly, as I am living in Germany, I have never seen Stevie solo on stage  - so I would really love to hear some of her efforts live, especially some of her fantastic "new" songs - like "Annabel Lee" and "Moonlight".
Though I do know that this is definitely NOT going to happen... The only "In Your Dreams" song we will possibly get to hear would be "Soldiers Angel", like so many others here have already pointed out.

And as for LB - I'm just not into his solo stuff as much as I adore Stevie's... But then again, that's just my personal opinion... And I do have "Trouble" on my setlist... ;)
But I'm not so sure that it is the audience that wants to hear both Stevie and Lindsey equally - I think that Stevie's solo work is by far more loved.
I do think that it's got more to do with some kind of "rivalry" - "If you get to play one solo song of yours, then I will get to play one of mine..." - you know what I mean?
But I love Lindsey, so don't get me wrong!

yeah Gold (and that whole album) was produced by Lindsey and is actually a song about him supposedly.

that said, i can't stand that song. blah.

i've said it before and i'll say it again - if Lindsey does Trouble in FM set, i will disown him. i'm so sick of that song. one of his most blah solo songs, imo.

I love that song and never get sick of hearing it.I could do without Big Love though unless it was with the full band.

i'm sure you heard both as much as your heart may desire at his solo shows :D.

no reason to add solo blah song like Trouble to FM setlist when he has some spectacular solo songs that would nicely fit into Mac set, and even the most hardcore chiffs that don't know any of his solo materials would probably enjoy, but would satisfy LB solo fans at the same time.
