I agree with all of this. I thought about that last night - who am I to tell Stevie how she should sing a 30 year old song today? Maybe SHE wants it to be louder, more anguished. Of course, that doesn't mean I have to like it. ;) But instead of assuming she f*cked it up, I should be open to the possibility that this is how she wants it performed.

I don't really know how to say this, but Stevie sang Landslide differently at the end. I will say that I believe she had more modulation and hope that that means something.:laugh:. I mean she would take a passage and make her voice go up and down more through the notes. It was different than she usually does it. You know how over-ambitious singers kind of draw out the National Anthem at base ball games? Well, Stevie seemed to draw out the notes in Landslide Sunday. Doing that she almost made me miss my cue. But the experimentation was nice.

- thought he belted it out too much, like thats all she could do and too nasal too since she over projected all the way up and out.

Thats why i loved "say goodbye", gently sung, same as "Insider" sung so gently with tom petty, what a sweet pleasure it was to hear her.

GOD I cannot wait to see them in Greensboro!! Lindsey just seems SO into everything in every video I've seen so far. As the tour progresses it seems Stevie's starting to lighten up, too. Man, I think this might be better than the SYW show I caught. :blob2:

I actually think you're right. I listened to it a few times after I asked because it really did sound like a recording. Wonder how much they actually use throughout a show?
