Not a grammar mistake, but you made me remember this anyway:

So I called up the Captain, "Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969"

But wine is not a spirit drink, because spirits are alcoholic beverages produced by distillation. And wine is just fermentation. Don commented he was criticized for that mistake, to which he laughed saying something like It's just a song, lyrics are written to rhyme or sound good, nothing more.
