To be fair, the Stones always looked and sounded like old guys.

You are correct. She was also on Nuclear Furniture album in 1985. That actually is not a bad album even though it was not successful. It was the last of the Jefferson Starship before just "Starship."
Thanks for the correction. I think why I got confused is because after Nuclear Furniture Jefferson Starship sort of broke up before the re-invention of "Starship."

What a bitter bitch.

That's what I was thinking, too.

well there was always this rumour floating around back in the day that Stevie had had a fling with Paul Katner (father of Grace's daughter China). So who knows.

She is just kissing ass. Actually, the Rolling Stones look aweful. Fleetwood Mac looks better. But it is easier for women to criticize women.

That's what I thought too, I love the RS, I'm seeing them in Feb., I'd pay to seem them performing from wheelchairs but they do look a lot older than FM.
It's music, it shouldn't matter what people look like anyway.

I think you're onto something here.

No one can be objective and I think Grace, a woman, looks at women like Stevie and Christine and projects her own insecurities onto them. It's a form of internalized misogyny. There's also an unequivocal jealousy about how the Mac has managed to continue cashing in on its legacy whereas Jefferson Starship--once a staple of 70s FM radio--has not. She can be in awe of the Stones because she was never in their league. In her head, she sees the Mac, who once toured with and, in fact, supported, Jefferson Starship, as peers. It's more easy to criticize your brother than your father.

Not only that, but didn't Fritz support Jefferson Airplane in the 1960s? She's maybe only human to reflect on her, and the Mac's trajectories. I love Grace's voice on those Jefferson Airplane albums. If you don't shiver listening to White Rabbit, check your pulse. I would pay good money to see her sing in a re-formed Jefferson Wheelchair...

She's entitled to her opinion and even she concedes the band still sound great. She's obviously happy in her retirement but it's not for everyone.

Dear old Grace. She doesn't mind being old. Nothing wrong with that. Love her. However, wasn't it just a few weeks ago that Forbes magazine listed Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie as something like the 3rd in money makers in the rock industry? I guess lots of people disagree with Grace. The band has worked hard to get themselves fit and ready for this latest tour. I think they look great! Maybe Grace should take another look. She doesn't sound definitive as to when she last saw them!

I know even if she doesn't sing anymore she's having a successful career as a painter.
She's not jealous, she's a prude or maybe even stuck-up.

I just remember Ann & Nancy saying they couldn't keep up with Stevie's partying, or something to that effect.
