Hopefully they'll not be very tired after this trek to do some European shows (and other parts of the globe) ...

But then again, when they take a few weeks off after march, they'll be in time to do some European Festivals this spring ...

This stupid band has forgotten that a whole world exists outside of North America. Most of the human population resides outside of Canada and the US of A.

I think this pushes the album back indefinitely since after this big of a tour (UK and Aus are still to be announced) they will probably take an extended break. I predict new album in 2018 and what a record it will be...[/QUOTE]

I don't think they can get away touring overseas with out any new music

They'll be over there. I'm sure they already have the dates locked in. They're just waiting to announce them.

THAT has to be a mistake. It's less than an hour and a half drive from Milwaukee to Rosemont. It's eleven hours from Milwaukee to Toronto and ten hours from Toronto to Rosemont. While the band travels by private jet, I believe the crew and equipment still travel by road. Plus, I don't see them doing three nights in a row like that.

I was hoping that FM got the upcoming Superbowl gig.

Katy Perry is going to do it.

It's kind of a thankless gig. Not sure if I'd ever want to see Fleetwood Mac do it. If they don't sound good, the criticism could be huge...a la the Rolling Stones a few years back. They'd have to pick their songs very carefully: definitely Chain, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop, Landslide, Tusk, Say You Love Me type songs...maybe a guitar showcase like So Afraid. I always wanted to hear Why with a gospel chorus...it would definitely be a place to ramp up certain songs. Also, they aren't a very theatrical band---no props, set fiascos, visual stimulation. A lot of the time the Super Bowl acts are very dance heavy and over the top, hence why Katy Perry fits here. And like others, she doesn't have a very good voice.

I understand. They dont have the fancy lightshows and props which I dont need to see.I there to see and hear them perform .Not a lightshow. .With millions of viewers they got to be perfect with out any problems like wardrobe malfunctions or whatever. They dont need the BS from the critics the next day.

That's why a lot of artists, like Beyonce and Madonna recently, lip-synched their Super Bowl performances. Don't get me wrong, Fleetwood Mac could be an excellent choice, especially if the network wants to tone it down should another controversy happen. If they nailed it, I'd love to see them get extra publicity and huge acclaim, possibly propelling legacy questions, industry awards, Kennedy Center Honors, tributes, the whole works.

Christine said in the March Rolling Stone interview: "Well, the plan is we’re going to start rehearsing in July and go on the road in September. The tour starts in Chicago and we head west and come back east again, finish at Christmas and pick up end of January and complete America and we can do the world, really. And there’s a studio album somewhere in the mix too. We’re playing around in studios now." So sounds like this was the plan all along
