Oh Lord, that's nothing compared to Sara being followed by What Makes You Think You're The One :laugh:. I kinda think the transition from Over And Over to The Ledge is kinda fun. That transition is kinda like, "ok... this is going to be a fun ride." I still find Sara->What Makes You Think You're The One jarring and obnoxious... because Sara totally blisses you out, sends you off into dreamland, and then WHAM! you're slapped out of it :laugh:. But I guess that's part of what makes Tusk, Tusk.

"Over & Over" is, by far, the worst opening song on any album (not just Fleetwood Mac)...it should've ENDED one of the sides of the LP. THAT was the first INSANE thing about Tusk. Not having a Christine song on Side 2 was next. From day 2 of owning the album, I was busy planning my cassette version with a better (and more SANE) running order.
Louie, the "Sara" to "WMYTYTO" transition wasn't quite as shocking when the album first came out, due to it being an LP and since "Sara" ended side 1, the time it took to turn the record over lessened the "WHAM!" effect of "WMYTYTO"...granted once it came out on CD, that was definitely inhanced quite a bit. |
