That said. I would give anything for Lindsey to cover "Hurdy Gurdy Man".

Hey peoples. "Sara" is about Sara. Yes, it is true, haha. It is mostly about her, I would say. And I would say that because I just spent the entire weekend with Sara Fleetwood, hahahahahahhaha. K--I'm calm.

As I sit here with Sara Fleetwood....Sara says:
"The night Stevie wrote this song, I was sitting there with her, even though at different times in her life, she likes to say the song isnt about me or that I wasn't there. So....who undid the laces? NOT Don Henley, not Mick...keep thinking guys, keep thinking..." HAHA--Love Sara so much. |
The song is perfection any way you look at it...but if we can eliminate DH from the "undoing the laces" lyric (one of my two favorite parts of the whole song) it becomes even more perfect. LOL...now that I think of it...is there any way we can reason away any connection between any of Stevie's lyrics and any member of the Eagles??? That would make my day! Yeah, I know...wishful thinking.
Apologies, of course, to anyone who enjoys the Eagles :) |
Personally I believe Stevie when she says the song isn't just about one person but a time in her life. It makes make more sense that way, that it's about a few different people, reading the lyrics.

^I agree as well. Perhaps a song here and there was written about one thing or person but for the most part, her lyrics are influenced by multiple feelings/situations/people. Besides, I like that her songs are written in a way that allows us to come up with interesting interpretations of the lyrics...I think its fun. Its definitely much more enjoyable that trying to study for all of my anthropology classes. :p
