They allowed the first 3 - 5 rows up to the front of the stage for MOST SYW shows, but it depended on the venue. The Indian casino didn't allow it. Hershey PA only let 2 or 3 rows up, but the stage was so friggin' high you couldn't see them if you were that close anyway. Toronto was odd, because Theresa said they weren't really stopping people, but nobody was really trying to go up there. I did try from the 9th row & they sent me back (I just walked up the aisle & they asked me to go back, so I did.) However, later in the show several people from rows way behind me were allowed up, so I was a bit annoyed.

I have been in both positions - a few rows back & wanting to be closer, and being in the front row & not wanting my space invaded. Here's how I feel about getting up front - if you don't have a front row seat, it's cool to try & get closer IF there's enough room up front & you're not going to get in anyone's way and IF you can easily make it up there.

But nobody should think they're entitled to be up there unless they actually have a front row seat - all 500 people on the floor, even those 29 rows back, paid the same amount that you did for their tix & there's not enough room for everyone up there. If you chose to pay extra for a package & get 8th row, sorry but that's life.

Be cool about it, be polite. Please don't push or shove, please don't spill **** on people or kick them in the head while leaping over rows of seats. People who have front row tix deserve to be IN FRONT, so I don't think it's cool to squeeze yourself in around them. If you are asked to go back to your seat by security, just GO. Don't argue, don't be a dick, it will do you no good.

If you do have a front row seat & someone is in your way or being a dick, tell security. Sorry, but that's how I feel. If someone comes up front & they're cool, polite, keeping to themselves, I'm not bothered. If they are dancing around screaming in my ear & elbowing me with their smooth moves, that's not cool - get the f*ck away from me.

FOR REAL! I am gonna talk to Security before, and during the show. No one is going to be in my space. I am not down with that. I almost want to call up the venue and ask. Or at leasts prepare myself if that's business usual. We didn't pay that much money to have to fight all night, forget it! That just does not fly with me. :sorry: I will rat you out in a heartbeat. I just have this thing about my space. I don't know why, I just do.

I have calmed down, lol... I spoke to one of the online reps for our venue and they said that NO ONE is allowed further than their row except front row. They are allowed to stand and come to the stage, but that anyone pushing and trying to get upfront will be removed immediately. So, I guess they only allow front row up, but that security will stand up front to make sure no one gets moved, or pushed around. She said, "Now worries..." So, I am glad I can maintain my space. LOL I was once in a pit and I haven't been the same since. :laugh: Please don't think I am being silly, or snobby... I just can't stand to have someone that close to me screaming, and carrying on. P.S. I am only 25. Just imagine how fun I will be in ten years... LOL

Have you seen FM before? I would be curious to see/know your reaction once you are amidst all that magic. Something tells me you will not be aware of the space around you nor concerned about who/what is filling it. have fun. ;)

That aside, every venue/security policy is different. I have yet to see a crazed stagegush at FM...that doesn't mean there hasn't been one or won't be one...but for the most part, unless you are a complete ASS, everyone works well together. Personally, I don't dig when peeps from further than perhaps third/forth come up the aisles and squeeze their way in. I have been lucky enough to have been close the majority of the time, but when I have had rafter or anything in between, I am respectful of those who have obtained prime seats, chillin' and enjoyin' the music/show...I do rather like a clear view as opposed to bobbleheads...mosttimes it's best to just enjoy the music while you can...not get caught up in the hype 'I must be near my GOD/GODDESS'. As well, if someone asks you to step aside as they 'paid for that location', don't put up a fight...just move on. :shrug:

I have seen them before, just never this close and I want it to be perfect. I do get lost in the magic. No matter how many times I have seen Stevie, or the MAC, I just get lost in it all. I love watching the dvds... I find my feet stomping and my head crazy with excitement, and it's only on television. LOL I said to my friend, "I get to meet Mick. I don't care where my seat is! After that, I will just want to chill and watch my band, one more time." (It's like drugs, I will only do one, and it will be the last time, lol!) I hope that I will be close, and have a good time.

You should ask to be upgraded to a glassed-in VIP box.

Sounds like a personal issue. Anyway, calling the venue and/or speaking to security is probably not going to help you. I highly doubt anyone is going to protect you from the big bad Fleetwood Mac fans who are about to viciously violate your personal space :rolleyes: Just relax yourself, have a glass of wine before hand, and try to have fun instead of spending your evening hounding security and trying to ruin the enjoyment of other fans.

space, just watch an AC/DC concert on
DVD. After that you'll feel safe at the
Fleetwood Mac concert.

AGREE!!!!!!! I Paid good hard earned money for my first ever front row seat . I will get crazy with whoever tries to take my spot. :sorry: But if you want a front row seat then pay for it.

I agree but this has happened to me at concerts when i was in row 70 as well. There are always going to be obnoxious people at concerts, no way around it.

Your spot is the SEAT you paid for. I doubt anyone will try to take your seat from you.
