Surely this means a tour over here then? They wouldn't come to do the one date would they? I hope there will be other dates. My camping dayes are long gone!

If it does happen, I wouldn't be surprised if they play some more European festivals instead. That's where the big money is for bands these days apparently.

Well, the O2 would be perfect for them (Michael Jackson is about to announce his comeback shows there) and there doesn't seem to be any concerts scheduled there for Glastonbury weekend either. It would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.

I certainly hope so. If they do some european gigs I'll be there on one or two. Against all acidp*ssing negativity over here, I got the impression that (based on some crappy clips) they sound good and more pure ( not so "overfull" than during SYW. Maybe Stevie's not in her best form yet, but Lindsey certainly is. Yes, the setlist is made from stone and I would have done it a lot more adventurous, but for a greatest hits tour ité not TOO bad in my book. And Oh Well REALLY rocked my boat, as did those clips of SYLM and Monday Morning.

If they do the UK I will be there in a heartbeat. I flew to the US to see Lindsey and I wish I could do it again for the Mac, but I can sure as Hell do the UK if they're playing even a single date here. Fingers crossed for a tour, but even if it's one or two big dates (Glastonbury excluded obviously) I'll be going.

Ditto!

I'm already off to Glasto, booked my tickets and all. But I would be first in line in that freezing mud to get up close if they do come. It would be absolutely amazing. :]

when do you think we will get some new dates??? And will these dates be for Europe??? As for the festivals, in Holland we have Pinkpop at the end of may. They have Bruce Springsteen, Franz Ferdinand, Placebo, Snowpatrol to name a few but no FM. Perhaps Belgium, in July they have Rock Werchter, Germany also have a good festival... Lets just wait and see. I hope fore some dates in Europe!!!!!!!

Just a quick (and probably the final) update on this.

Well, this Rumour looks to have been shot down.
Neil Young was announced last night on the official website.(AAAAAAAAAAH!!! :D)
And the announcers have decided the last headlining spot will be to a British/Irish band, and a young one at that.

So its looking unlikely the Mac will be braving the depths of the English countryside.. this year anyway.
Shame, I was really hopeful ya know...
