By the way, the Hold Me demo was amazing... |
I have to say that the guy that wrote this post is gettin a pretty hard time. I am only at a point now where I can share songs, demos and guitar tablature. I took ages to build up my collection of odds and ends but I too started out having to ask for stuff, simply because i couldnt get it anywhere. ChiliD remember the old Turner Forum days. I dont remember ever gettin a rebound like this. anyway on we must. I will chow over this chicken salad and try to think of something to post. I already know what it is, I think.
Yes of course its going to be a Lindsey Number, my excuse for that: He was probably going to end up sharing it with the Band anyway. |
That reminds me, Madness Fades.
I have some issues with the FM trading community, anyway. I started collecting 10 years ago, and at that time, everything was on cassette, vhs, and rarely cd. But it was very difficult to get started for someone who had nothing to offer, so it took a saint (like blackcat) to help me get started. That brings about a problem. You go to all these trading pages, and people aren't interested in any sort of trade unless you have something they don't have. But they have everything in your collection. What do you do? Stop collecting? I had to. Then mp3s came around, now torrents. And once I finally get a stable collection going, my hard drive gets stolen. Until we can find a way to get this stuff organized in somewhat of a central location.. like by era or whatever else.. I just can't do it anymore. I still have all of my cassettes and VHS-es and all kinds of great stuff like that.. but all this really kick-ass **** that only pops up once in a blue moon is totally gone to me now. $1500 worth of stuff in my purse was stolen and it is the FM demos, rarities, and quality bootlegs from numerous tours that I miss most. So, I can't really say that I blame this guy for starting a thread like this and not sharing something if he doesn't have something TO share.. but if he'd say that, that'd probably cause others to be like, oh here, then you should listen to this. Otherwise, I do have to agree that it comes across like hoarding.. give me what you have, but you can't have any of mine. Just like many other independent traders. |

But if there are any demos you want let me know and I'm happy to help you out if you want them. |

I have stevie demos, but no real Mac demos, and that was the goal I had in starting this thread, was for us to share unreleased Mac songs.

This is a track called "Without You". I don't know if it's a Mac demo but it's Stevie and Lindsey. I don't have many mac demo's at all. Most of mine are Stevie solo
http://www.sendspace.com/file/6cfh98 This is an early take of Sisters Of The Moon: http://www.sendspace.com/file/x7d1b3 An Amazing version of Rhiannon: http://www.sendspace.com/file/z67808 An "After The Glitter Fades" style version of "That's Allright": http://www.sendspace.com/file/9ckml5 Studio take of "Straight Back": http://www.sendspace.com/file/ofeb3u ENJOY! |
'Without You' is a Buckingham Nicks demo and one of my favorite songs!
The trading ring is not exactly defunct but it seems like there is less trading going on in general. I have sent out five or six 2:1's in the last two months alone. I do not mind doing them when I have the time. it is really the only way to start a collection. |

I was never a fan of Straight back on Mirage, but I LOVE the alternate take (or is it demo?) in which Stevie's voice sounds infinitely more alive... |
Just got my hands on this. Blue Monday cover by Lindsey. Labeled as as a Mirage demo. Swoooooooon! Love Liddy's take on this great song.:blob1:
http://www.yousendit.com/download/TE...YUlGOFEwTVE9PQ If anyone has any demos/outtakes/roughs from the Mirage era, please share. I didn't know all this great stuff was out there from this time. thanx |
