I've been to two....Bridgeport (9/27/03) and Hartford (6.8.04)

Vianna 12-16-2004 08:10 AM

I've been to about 5, I think: TITN, BTM, Dance, and 2 SYW's. I regret, deeply regret, I wasn't able to see Mirage, Rumours and White Album.

Chili D I think would hold the record-I think he's been to something like 40 shows, beginning with the Peter Green incarnation...

I also saw Peter and the Splinter Group once.

ThePenguin 12-16-2004 08:19 AM

I counted 5 FM shows-- 2 Time line ups, 2 Dance shows, and 1 SYW show. I almost went to a Mirage show but something at school intefered. :distress: And during TITN and BTM I was in college and had no $ to buy a pizza, let alone concert tickets.

However I also saw/met Peter Green at a show he did in NY, and saw LB solo show which left me in tears by the end of the night, that's how good he was. I saw him in Philly in 93 (I think?) and was right up front. Also saw a Christine McVie solo show at Great Adventure in 84, she was terrific!

I love that pic of the band over a pot of gold, from the Rumours era in a huge stadium. I'd love to go back in time, too, and watch that show :(

Buddy

I've been to 4 FM concerts. I've listened to their music forever. I loved the Say You Will Tour.

My first concert was during the seventies. I know I am dating myself. Would you like to know what it was like?

I was in college and on the concert committee. It seemed like every other week Fleetwood Mac would have another hit on the radio. The show was in the field house at UCONN and the place was full...not one folding chair available. FM had their own security so I couldn't get close enough to talk to them but I watched them go on stage. It was obvious they had done some partying before...the dressing rooms were trashed and they were a little wobbly getting up the stairs. The music was awesome!!! Christine was so tall and blond and had that bell tone to her voice. John and Mick were the greatest rhythm section I had ever heard. Lindsey was on fire, tall and skinny with a big head of dark hair. Stevie stepped up to do Rhianon and the place went wild. She was tiny with brownish blond hair and she was backlit as she did her sexy dance. The guys sitting near me stood on their chairs to try to get a better look and moaned as a few of them fell off their folding chairs. She was magic.

I'll never forget it.

First FM concert - Mirage - 10/31/82 - Austin, TX
Coincidentally, the next time I would see the Rumours lineup would be exactly 15 years later on the Dance tour, 10/31/97 - San Antonio, TX

Okay, so that's 2 - the others would be:

3 Tango shows - Austin, Houston, Dallas
3 BTM shows - Houston, Dallas, LA
Another Dance tour show- Dallas, TX
20 SYW shows - DC, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Vegas, 2 in London, Madison, Champaign, Marysville, Concord, San Jose, Dallas and Houston again, Atlantic City, Camden and Detroit

Grand total - 29 - not counting solo tours.

yep..I fall into the 1 catagory..London 29/11/03. Couldn't really afford to go to any more, altho, I would have liked to...took me 2 working days to earn enough for that 1 concert!..haha, but it was great, in fact the whole weekend was super, wouldn't have missed it for the world. :]

I know exactly what you mean! I've been a fan since I was a little girl...I'm 35 now---ancient, I know, and I finally saw them for the first time on the SYW tour in B'ham, Al. When they walked onstage, my legs nearly collapsed (I was lucky enough to be on the front row directly in front of Stevie!). It was very surreal, and I couldn't believe I was FINALLY in the same building with the entire band! (I've seen Stevie solo twice).

So, now I've been to 4 shows:
B'ham, Al 6/03
Duluth, Ga 9/03
Knoxville, TN 9/03
Nashville, Tn 5/04

Ok, and now I've paid off my credit card, so I'm ready for another tour! Let's do it again!
