If March 23rd is the release date, i'm assuming that us Aussies will have to wait a futher 2-4 weeks for the Australian release?

Although many of us have already collected plenty of demos & Outtakes from these albums, i'm sure they would have already taken this into account to some extent...as most of us would be very dissapointed if we were buying cds containing identical Outtakes & Demos that we have already collected over the years (although sound quality would be much better).

Here's hoping that the Rumours & Tusk reissues will contain versions of these songs that haven't been circulated!!

:)

I, for one, am super-stoked about the tracklists, they are INCREDIBLE :D I've only had the Rumours version of Think About It for a few months, and was completely blown away by it...it totally rocks! Now everyone will get to hear it in it's original (AND BEST!) form. Plus, I have NEVER heard of:

Jam #2
Doesn't Anything Last
Mic The Screecher
For Duster (The Blues)
Kiss and Run

So, considering the un-ending amount of demos and alt. versions that we already have, I think its something that there are any "new songs" at all. Yes, there are a few disappointments, like no live versions (but like someone said, maybe this means an expended Fleetwood Mac Live set!!), no "Beauty and the Beast" (which I still haven't heard...is it really very good?), and some other omissions, but all things considered, this is just awesome.

Not many bands, when rereleasing old material, include this much bonus stuff. It is SO wonderfully un-Fleetwood Mac-ish and hopefully will start a new trend...continuing with a fresh setlist for the US tour!

So.......Wow :D

:wavey: adam :wavey:

I think Rumours Think About It is far superior to Stevie's! I'm totally excited it's on here. :)

I can't wait...

to compare the Tusk bonus tracks with the cd's of the Tusk Reels I have...Should be an interesting release.

I can't wait...except I imagine with all this bonus material these things will be a little on the expensive side.

Well we have a couple months to save up. Let's see... lawn mowing, bake sales, baby sitting, busing tables- oh the glamorous life of an American teen.

Really? I haven't heard this version yet. I am excited! Think About It is one of my favorite Stevie Solo songs and my very favorite from Bella Donna.

These bonus tracks look pretty good! There are even a few new songs I've never heard. The only thing I'm a little surprised about is that there aren't any live tracks. Hopefully, the Live album will be GREATLY expanded. There were ALOT of songs that didn't make it onto that album. I'm also looking forward to the DVD-Audio versions of the White Album & Tusk, hopefully later in the spring.

But it's great hey! I Know I'm Not Wrong is just one of the most awesome songs, and to think it beat out all the rest of this prime BNFM catalogue as the one warranting the most versions is so gratifying, for a big fan of this song. If there's three separate versions I'm guessing each will be very different indeed - hopefully showing a lot about the different stages of the song!

Sorcerer0078 (sorry, I've forgotten your name - Patrick is it??) - Yep, I think its a minimum 2 week delay. I seem to recall that the VBoFM was two weeks. I forget about SYW.

LOL!

I am pretty excited about this - just the fact that we can't be 100% positive that these outtakes are the versions we've already heard is enough to make me curious/happy/thrilled. Ooooooh the anticipation!

Paula

PS - I too am betting it's a different POTU than the piano demo - it's just a feeling...

CarneVaca 01-29-2004 10:14 AM

I don't know what I was thinking in hoping we'd get something truly extraordinary, but this is somewhat disappointing. I don't particularly care to have three or four versions of the same songs. I would have rather gotten more unreased stuff. Be that as it may, as of now it doesn't look like Fleetwood Mac is worth it, but Rumours and Tusk are just this side of being worth it.

Yes I know, I'm actually very excited about this, because I think it's the best thing they ever recorded. But I think that we know two of them already: the vinyl and the cd-versions. So that means two more work-in progress-versions hopefully.

Have you made your I know I'm Not Wrong- t-shirt already? I'd like one, especially funny for a teacher.

Maybe on the back: Not that Funny....
