I don't see why Lindsey can't be over the top. Stevie can do her "witchy" dancing and howling, etc., but Lindsey can't go nutsos on NTF. :confused:

FTR, I'm not trying to fight with anyone, I just see a double standard here. EVERYONE should go crazy.

But then again, some people were appalled at Lindsey's guitar antics this tour...while many (like myself of course. Hehe) REVELED in it. :nod:

Goodbye Baby was kind of hard for me to accept because I'm very pro-life and it was hard enough just knowing that Stevie had an abortion, much less hear her singing about it.

I haven't listened to Behind The Mask in quite a while, so I'll probably get back to you on that.

I haven't listened to too much of the Peter Green/Bob Welch eras, and I shamefully do not own Time, but once I start playing gigs again and get some money I'll gain full Mac fandom. :laugh:

I agree LB should be "allowed" (as if we could stop him :laugh: ) to go over the top just as much as anyone. This particular performance, however, just does not look or sound good to me and apparently others - the playing is not that great and he is not in any key I have ever heard :laugh:

I mean Stevie just to me does not look as silly when she is doing her schtick as LB does here. Also, on the SYW tour, I just did not find LB's wild gestures coherent or fluid like Stevie's are/were. I mean even in Stevie's panty revealing, listing spin in the SOTM Mirage video, La Nicks at least has something that makes me want to watch that trainwreck :laugh: I cannot say the same for LB's NTF or his monkey dancing at the beginning of SB on this tour. I guess for me it is that I think Stevie's stuff kind of relates to the song while I think LB's does not. I mean I thought for a second when I first saw it that LB was mocking Stevie during the monkey dancing at the beginning of SB on this last tour. Also, Stevie dresses almost in a costume that time has lead us to believe will contain a show. LB has no costume.

Note: This is just my opinion.

Finally, Stevie and LB are great no matter what they do. Mick, on the other hand, should stay behind that drum kit :eek: :laugh: :nod:

Okay, I see your point, but I don't look at stuff that way, I guess...when you're speaking about how the dancing/twirling compliments the song. :shrug:

I see it as they express themselves in different ways...her through her twirling/dancing and he with his guitar/crazy nut routine. :laugh:

When he does that silly dance before Stand Back, I look at that as there's so much time before Miss Stevie comes out and he wanted to DO something, not just stand there waiting for her to come out. :shrug: But, what do I know? LOL

Peter Green: I've developed a deep hateful feeling about "Long Grey Mare". I don't know why, though. I like almost all of his other FM songs.

Jeremy Spencer: Agreed with chiliD; after a few Elvis/Perkins impersonations you can really get tired. I'm not a huge fan of "Someone's (Somebody's?) Going To Have Their Head Kicked In Tonight" either. Other than that I like his job, especially on Kiln House.

Danny Kirwan: "When You Say", no doubt about it.

Bob Welch: I think I'm the only one in the bunch who detests "The Ghost" with passion. Don't precisely know why, though... I like the rest of the stuff Bob did with Fleetwood Mac.

Christine McVie: Love all of her work EXCEPT for that atrocity called "Only Over You", which suffers from awful arrangement, melody and lyrics. Why, Christine?

Lindsey Buckingham: Let 'em come... I think my biggest complaints are in this field: "Oh Diane" (blah); "Empire State" (yuck); "Family Man" (why did everyone think that this was a real song, and furthermore, good enough to be a single, is beyond me... it is, with my biggest respect of Lindsey, a piece of garbage); "Caroline" (awful lyrics); "Murrow Turning Over In His Grave"; "My Little Demon" and the studio version of "Come". Ugh. I thought there were more -- but I actually love his stuff in Tusk. :)

Stevie Nicks: Before last year it was "When I See You Again". But this year, "Silver Girl" tops every list of bad songs. It's terrible.

Billy Burnette: "I Got It In For You". A lesson of just how many times can you repeat a phrase in a song if they give you three or four minutes. He says this phrase even more than Stevie says 'whatsdamattababy' on "When I See You Again". Argh.

I make no judgement over Bob Weston ("Caught In The Rain" is great), Dave Walker (blah), Rick Vito (made one GREAT contribution to BTM and was a key member in the two tours he was involved in) or Bekka Bramlett (wonder if she ever did write those songs for Time) only because the reduced number of songs they did for the band.

I guess maybe it is because Stevie for as long as I can remember (and we are talking at least 1977 here :laugh: ) has always been out there with her dancing. LB on the other hand has always been a little more reserved than SN (which is not saying much, esp. in the 70's and early 80's :laugh: ) Also, it could be that SN studied dancing and ballet and it just seems natural to her. LB on the other hand does not to me look like he is dancing to the song. A good example is Tusk. He looks great when he is Tusking people and that little slow dancing thing that they have been doing of late looks good and is in sync with the rhythm of the song. His pre-SB dancing on the other hand is rhythmless to me - that is why I initially thought LB was mocking Stevie with it a la the New Zealand Tisk tour show.

I, too, have concluded LB was bored and began that pre-SB dance while waiting for SN. Also, LB does it at every show - so SN muct not have a problem with it :laugh:

Yes, Stevie has her own way of dancing - I like it. it reminds me of the screen goddesses of the 20's doing their best vamp dances a la Theda Bara (actually the teens there).
