You are so bad!!!!!!

I, too, am intrigued by the billing. It is also very interesting that LB would tape an LB show in the middle of a FM tour - imagine if La Nicks tried that!!!! ALso, unless I missed something, Mick, John, and the 700 other backup players ( ) not be there. So, who will accompany LB? Personally, I think it would indeed be awesome with just LB and a non-electric guitar for two hours!!!!

Before people drive themselves mad jumping to conclusions that have no relevance or precedent....

Lindsey takes excessive amounts of time to practice and arrange with other players. I think we can all assume that there will be no one repalcing Mick, John, Etc....

Take the night for what it says Lindsey Buckingham with Stevie Nicks.

An extended setlist similar instyle to Letterman/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-1998. Seems Reasonable. Letterman was booked and billed as Lindsey and Stevie.

Stop reading so much into things.....

Thank you for that party pooping opinion, but I think I am more than qualified to determine what is relevant to me. Moreover, apparently other people find this discussion relevant and are enjoying speculating. Finally, your statement "Take the night for what it says Lindsey Buckingham with Stevie Nicks" is incorrect. It says "Lindsey Buckingham with special guest Stevie Nicks," which I find wildly different. In fact, the plain language of that advertisement on the offical site of the party hosting the event clearly indicates it will be LB's show - hence the speculation of such an event during a FM tour. It could be the promoter got it wrong, but that is a rather huge mistake in my book and clearly worth my speculation.

Hey-Sorry just offering an opinion-did not need to be dressed down for it. Again I am really sorry if I did not articulate the semantics of the advertisment properly in my post. It was just my thought that perhaps we are reading a lot into a show that is being done on an off day between tour dates...

Yes!!! BIG LOVE, GO INSANE, STEPHANIE......or with Nicks on CRYSTAL and WITHOUT A LEG TO STAND ON......

Or if Buckingham has a band, I'd like to hear cuts from OUT OF THE CRADLE -------- YOU DO OR YOU DON'T, SOUL DRIFTER, DON'T LOOK DOWN, ALL MY SORROWS, SURRENDER THE RAIN, SAY WE'LL MEET AGAIN. Would be cool if he could get guitarists Liza Carbe and Janet Robin away from their current gigs, but I'm sure there wouldn't be much time to rehearse....even on Buckingham & Fleetwood Mac's three-week hiatus from the SYW tour. LB has some "mixing" to do, I hear.......

strandinthewind 08-25-2003 10:00 PM

"Frozen Love" could also translate well to acoustic guitar. Also, I think a simple version of the mucially simple but vocally brilliant "Without You" would blow most people away and show them what BN could and can do.

They already got the day of the week wrong.:)

Well actually, the billing would make perfect sense in terms of it just being the two of them without a band and so Lindsey is the one doing the music.
But on the other hand I noticed Gloria Estafan also slated, and to my knowledge she would have a backing instrumentalist?

G-L-O-R-I-A

Believe it or not, Mrs.Estevan DOES play piano and guitar:nod:
(BTW, never been a massive fan of hers...my FATHER is:laugh:
he has a thing for petite brunettes...)

What is this sounstage show like? How long are they usually. Do artists usually get a little more adventurous with this. Because if they do songs not on the SYW tour set list I'll be in heaven.

Thanks! :wavey: So that fits with my theory that Lindsey is the main billing becuase he is providing the instrumentation.

Gloria E. plays incredible guitar. I saw her once play it on a talk show. As an aside, I met her during the Olympics in 1996 here in Atlanta - she was on a float getting ready to be rolled onto the field for the Closing Ceremonies rehearsal - she was so hot (figuratively and literally) - she was also an incredibly nice person.

Thanks for this info!

With the possible release of B/N soon, does this mean this is promoting that??

I have no clue why during a FM tour Lindsey would do something alone, seems rather strange!

Well the show is coming up and who ever makes it better tell us everything!:)

Unfortunately, I don't think BN is coming out on CD (yet). Read the Music Tap dude's response about this in this thread about halfway down on the sencond page of the thread:

http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...5&pagenumber=2

I'd also like to say that I wasn't "jumping to conclusions" either, I'm just confused as to why this Soundstage deal is billed as something different than a FM Soundstage considering they are promoting a FM product at the moment.

Naturally, I'm not complaining about this as I'd prefer SN & LB to be solo anyways (though it's a little to late for that now IMO but anyways...).

I also hope that they do some "different" songs on the show but I'd be VERY surprised if they did, it will be pretty standard stuff I'm sure.

John
