I don’t think WTTR...S could have ever been a hit. However, I think “Isn’t It Midnight” might have been a massive hit had it been released at that moment. |

I like Mystery to Me, but I can't imagine another three or four albums like it. They would have to be Christine-heavy, and even then, you're looking at a lot of lukewarm radio-friendly fare between the two of them. I mean zero offense to Chris either. I love her, but even she has admitted to being a formulaic songwriter, and did not really expand her repertoire beyond the basic 1-2-3 love/lost love song. Bob, like Danny Kirwan, was not the most lighthearted guy, at least not lyrically. Bare Trees and MtM are good albums but are not ones that I would listen to in their entirety. Not without feeling a little broody afterward. |

Now if we could ever get you to see the same mastery of Oh Daddy ;) |

Now don't get me started:lol: , but Warm Ways is right there with Oh Daddy. Snoozeville! Too sleepy for me. I need me some damned BEAT. The exact same reason I hate Storms and Beautiful Child. Zzzzzzz.... |

To be fair, it's been actual years since I've listened to it. I liked it (those car horns!), then I didn't like it... If everything goes in cycles, I'm due to like it again. WW is dreamy, just too low-key. It's got a beautiful, lush sound, it's just not a song I'd go back to or catch myself singing around the house. I can't get over the "make me a woman tonight" line. :sorry: |

Now just imagine this song being track #2 during the Buck/Vie tour or instead of You Make Loving Fun, this was the second song during On With The Show. I would have fallen out of my chair. If you listen closely. You can hear a little keyboard churning Say You Love Me in the beginning. Chris was loaded for bear for this album and all Fleetwood Mac albums I would say. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bhDUvcY2O8 |

Thank goodness Stevie saved Chris's organ from these early years. Stevie refused to let Chris abandon it, sell it or give it away when Chris quit the business. Stevie knew what a piece of history it was and dug it out over 17 years later to give back to Christine.
I can only imagine how hot the organ was after a performance like this. I love Lindsey's guitar solo on the song but I much prefer hearing the organ on this one. |
