Not everyone can or wants to walk away from their family and loved ones because of a difference of viewpoints regarding sexual orientation.

I come from a devoutly Catholic family, and I know the mindset... but that doesn't stop me from loving my family and wanting to be around them, while also loving myself and being proud of who I am.

But... it took a long time to come to that. It's one of those "previously irreconcilable" things that I mentioned to Brandon.

I'm a big fat coward when it comes to that situation. GOD let me count the ways I love my family...but I would NEVER EVER come out to my parents except from a safe distance of 2000 miles across the country! I have specific family members that I know I could tell right this minute and they wouldn't love me any less...but others would be SHOCKED!

I'm glad that you understand...and that you've managed to get past it. There is always hope for me somewhere down the line. Thank you. :xoxo:

The most important thing to remember when telling any is that you are telling them for their information and not their approval. It is important both you and they know that.

Bobbie Gentry ! Wrote it and did the original, which if you haven't heard it, will blow your sequined socks off, Blanche. She also is responsible for Ode To Billie Joe. She is amazing.

I love your animated pic thing in your sig, BTW.

Which is why, again, I will be more than 100 miles away from the event.
