Has anyone had good luck waiting until the week (or even the day) before their show? Used to do that all the time - in fact, that's how I scored every front row ticket I've gotten. But with this tour being so in demand, I wasn't sure that strategy would work this time around.
I did the Amex presale for the Buffalo show coming in january. 15-year-old niece wants me to take her & I've seen Mac/Stevie/LB so many times from the floor that I wasn't aiming for floor seats. I was shocked that the vast majority of the arena seats are the top price, which comes to $200 PER TICKET with fees! All of floor, 100 & 200 level are $200 apiece! There are only 3 sections of $50 tickets so those will be gone in minutes. I opted for $75 (total $90) tix in the lower part of the 300 level right near the stage. |

Price jump for 2nd leg
Whoah....did you guys see the 2nd leg VIP price jump vs the first leg VIP prices? For front row, they went from $750.00 (1st leg shows) to $895.00 (for the Feb Cleveland show). Did anyone else catch this? Sorry if I missed it in another comment/thread.

I tried the LiveNation presale this morning and there wasn't anything good available. In general seating, the best you could get was literally the last row on the floor. The only Platinum seats available were at the very end of one of the side sections so you might as well have been in the stands. Stubhub is pretty bad price-wise already. (one of the worst things I saw was within hours of the first presale beginning someone has a 10th row ticket for the venue I was looking at for sale for $1799!!) It looked like the best I was going to be able to do for a good seat was to do the Mick meet and greet ticket. I had two tickets in my cart but found I just couldn't go through with paying $1500 for them. I guess I'll pass for now, but maybe keep watching Stubhub as the time gets closer to see if anyone with unsold good seats gets desperate and drops their prices. I hope I am doing the right thing, but $1500 is a good chunk of a family vacation. I love my family, I love my family, I love my family...ohm, ohm, ohm.... *chants soothingly and persuasively* Someone please reassure me I'm a good parent and did the right thing and will have no regrets, blah, blah, blah...

How long after the start of the "general public" sale does Ticketmaster usually reactivate the interactive seat map for selecting tickets?
How likely is it that decent "platinum" seats are still available by then? |
Anyone having any luck with the pre-sales today? I am trying to find one seat for Nashville and I'm not really pulling up anything great. The best I can find is Floor 1, Row 25 or Section 107, row E (which is like row 18). Not bad, but for the price I'm kind of hoping I can find something better. :/

I just got my tix for the Mohegan Sun show in feb.I was not fussy where I sit so it was no stress and done in minutes.

The automated ticketmaster lady needs to enunciate her words better. I thought she gave me section 115. I even listened carefully on repeat. My tickets came in. I"m at section 116!!!!!!! argh!

Tickets: Help!
I've never been to a concert before, never mind an FM one.
I was wondering if anyone could give advice on the purchase of tickets. I want to go to Birmingham, UK and tickets go on general sale on Friday. Will they sell out on Friday? Do I need to be by the computer at 9am ready to buy tickets or can I get them when I come back from work in the evening? Where do I get them from? Ticketmaster, Livenation - what does all of this mean!? How does the purchasing work? Thanks in advance for any help, and any other tips would be welcome. |
