As far as i know the European Tour in 2009 did sell very well in each country so i think they will come to same venues........ Than again the venues has to be availible, if not they will move to another venue in that country.

Fleetwood Mac sells out of presale tickets for 'Go Your Own Way' UK tour

Fleetwood Mac fans might have been whimpering about the sky high prices for the shows in the United Kingdom, but the seats sold out anyway. Within minutes on Wednesday the pre-tickets of the Go Your Own Way tour sold out online leaving anyone who wants to see the band will need to wait until Friday for the public offering of tickets.

The band once again performing for the fans is a big deal, but the tickets are even higher. Some are suggesting that the opportunity to see the band for the price is too much. While that obviously isn’t the opinion of every fan (the band sold out after all) there is some question on if the band will deliver on stage.

Fleetwood Mac will start singing in Dublin, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow at the end of September and finalize the concerts in early October. Those fans hoping to have a shot at the seats on Friday had better be ready to compete. With thousands of fans looking for the best selection, there will a fierce competition to find a perfect seat.

I think they've just made that tour name up to be honest;)

I've said this on other threads but the interest in the band here at the moment is unreal. I've never seen them mentioned so much. Live Nation went into meltdown this morning, I can see all the venues selling out very quickly once the general sale tickets go on sale tomorrow.

That's kind of hilarious. It's so random. It's like "We don't know the official name of the tour, but what do you guess FM might call it? We'll just go with our best prediction."

Wow, as excited as the fans are in the UK, Fleetwood Mac may just abandon America. I wonder what's different about the anticipation today, as opposed to the Unleashed and SYW tours. It's a mystery.

I've just posted on another thread - tickets for all UK venues went in 4 minutes! (Although a few odd ones showed up later on one or two ticket sites I've heard).

We are talking 20,000+ venues here with some tickets costing £137 (about $215). Amazing:D

I read that they added not one but TWO more shows at the O2 in London due to high demand.

Why didn't they just book Wembley?

They always prefer the newer arena. It's better for the load in/out and acoustics and nicer dressing rooms, etc.

I can understand why they want to play the 02 for the reasons already mentioned, but playing at Wembley stadium would have been awesome:D

Very few bands are big enough to play there, but looking at how quickly the tickets have been snapped up (which I honestly think has taken them by surprise) I think they'd have sold out no problem, it would have been a great one to record for a DVD too.

The PR machine kicked in really well in the UK the week before the tickets went on-sale with the Rumours re-release, Mick did three or four prime time TV slots and a few radio slots, most mainstream newspapers ran an article on the re-release of Rumours, plus Mick kept teasing that Christine may venture out and appear (I doubt it).... and of course Rumours stormed into the UK Album Charts at number 3.

Playing a stadium as opposed to an Arena means a police presence for a start - which is a huge cost.
As it is, the O2 Arena is one of the most expensive venues on the planet to book!

Yeah I can see the cons, but as a fan I'd have loved to have seen them at Wembley.

The band haven't played there for over 20 years (in Lindsey's case over 30 years) and it would have been the perfect place for Christine to re-appear.
