Since it's the last show, you must tell us everything shippy down to the final glance, even if you don't like that kind of stuff:p. Michele |
Heheh, yeah, no offence. My post was meant as a joke. NZ looks beautiful and I'd love to go there. Especially to see FM!!

My hope is that the final show will be full of tears, drama and scenery chewing. Do you think they'll play "Silver Springs?" |

I am so insanely jealous, you have no idea. If I had a few more years at my job and could afford to take the time off, or had any savings right now, I would be there in an instant! Can't wait to hear all about it! |
Can you imagine how gorgeous it'd be to have a few days off, fly to NZ, stay in a lovely hotel, and see Fleetwood Mac over there? WOW...*dreamy eyes*

Anyway... just as I suspected, there isn't an empty bed to be found anywhere even remotely close to New Plymouth. However, I did find a chalet that is literally located at the base of a semi-active volcano. It's only about 18 miles away as the crow flies, but you literally have to drive around the volcano to get to the only access road from the south- a two hour ordeal. I'm sure it would be quite lovely during the day... but I can only imagine trying to navigate around there in the pitch black of night. For some reason sleeping in the car at the Brooklands park is sounding more and more appealing right now. I can always bathe in the eel-infested moat. |

I've done the trip once since moving from London to the USA and I think it was roughly the same--15 hrs from LA to Sydney and roughly 5-6 hrs for me to get to LA. It's such a long journey (esp with children!) and the time difference so painful. It's a wonderful trip though- |
