Though I don't think including a song or two by Stevie or Christine would prevent them from "rocking hard." |

^^ o.k :) I'll take a listen to at least that one tonight. Will post as soon as I can. Warning though. I know nothing about music (even though I played the flute for 6 years-haven't picked it up in 10 :( )so I will not have a very detailed report about every single note. :wavey:

I'm sure you could use that as your sig if you wanted to, Homie -- though you should know that it's actually a joke at the expense of folks who have an irrational aversion towards Stevie.

Yeah, you're one to talk about irrational aversions (sorry, but true, Bri-Bri). |

By the way... how is any of this related to my explanation of the meaning of SortaSavageLike's comment? |

Glass houses, Brian. |

It's my mistake though -- I should realize by now that I can't say anything to you without you getting defensive. Yesterday was a good example... you mentioned John looks funny to you in older pics, so I pointed out that it was probably because you were actually looking at Bob Brunning. I even made sure to use one of those little "winky" emoticons to show that my tone was lighthearted, yet you still replied in a belligerent way. Since we're talking about glass houses... how's that persecution complex coming along? |
Yeah, whatever. We're just extremely different kinds of people, Brian, and always will be.
I'm very sorry that I responded. Have a good night. |
My mother's been sick and is having surgery tomorrow... I haven't been able to hear a single thing out of my right ear for almost a week now... I'm cranky, and I'm tired but too keyed-up to fall asleep.
So I'm waving the white flag here, Dave. We may be two different kinds of people, but I still think we should be able to co-exist peacefully on a message board. Just please try to remember that, far more often than not, my comments to you aren't meant to be contentious. Most especially when I use one of those silly little emoticons. |
I'm sorry to hear about your Mom's, and your own, health issues. CERTAINLY, we can co-exist here. Don't get me wrong, Brian. I LIKE you. BUT, we're vinegar and oil. I'm fairly certain that you've noticed that I don't usually respond, to your responses, for the past few months. "I" only work you up into your own little.......tizzy. And, I won't convince you of anything(and visa-versa). So, I simply avoid it. Because we're opposites.
But I still wish you well. Good luck with your Mom's surgery. |

Now this was a thread for a wishlist and I think I made an interesting one. Macs backcatalogue is huge and I made a choice. Not because I hate others but because I'd love to see this fourpiece band rock out the more masculine side of the band that is not always in focus by the Strictly-Stevielovers. Point. |

anyway, here's my wishlist: The Chain Dreams Save Me Rhiannon I’m So Afraid Storms Gold Dust Woman Say You Love Me Caroline Love Is Dangerous Isn't It Midnight Big Love Landslide Sara World Turning Gypsy Beautiful Child You Make Loving Fun Go Your Own Way Songbird Sisters of the Moon |

Not that I felt you needed to defend your setlist, but this is very well put. |

^^^ I agree
and on top of it-you know it will probably never happen. That is the idea of the "wish list". You know that as long as Fleetwood Mac is performing, Stevie is more than likely going to be a member, so you are always going to get to hear her songs. It's fun to shake things up a bit and put a spin on them. to add to this: I love stevie nicks and wouldn't want to go to a FM show without her. But that's just a personal choice. still havent decided on my list yet. oops-on edit. This was meant in response to Paula's post |

By the way: look how john touches his bass during come and I'm so afraid and GYOW. And Mick? Visually he's even one of the inspiration-icons for Animal! harder visual rockin does not exist. By the way David, what do you think of my list? |
Quote:
One moment, please, while I go look at it. .... Okay, back. Okay, your list has interesting material on it, although it has some crud on there too (like Bermuda Triangle & Tango in the Night). But where is Dragonfly? The lineup is nice, although weird. Who is going to play the piano on WMYTYTO or the electric piano on Angel or Hypnotized? I hope you don't intend to ask one of the Army. Better to just forget those parts completely & play guitars around them. It would be nice to hear Fleetwood Mac again without the "percussionist"--i.e., to hear "bare" Mick again, irrespective of how poor his timing has become. |

The reason of my remark that these four guys had to figure out themselves how this setlist should sound had everything to do with your remarks about the keys on some songs. Maybe one of the guitarists could provide it themselves on those songs while the other does the guitarpart. Or leave them out and rearrange them more stripped down. I love bermuda triangle and Tango sucks, but I did not want to put in ISA, although I truly want to hear that guitarsolo again. Thanks for putting in so much effort, dude. PS: Dragonfly is a good addition. Ok that one may replace the triangle. |

It is only in recent years that Taku, posting to Usenet as "Helen," has admitted that Mick's timekeeping has deteriorated & that this deterioration created some problems with the last percussionist, Lenny Castro. Quote:

I'm happy to say that everything went great for Mom today. She's tired, but otherwise she's doing really well. :) As for my ear... I don't know what's wrong with it. I think it's actually my sinuses acting up and causing my ear to be congested. It's totally plugged -- can't hear anything out of it. Tomorrow will be a week of this... it's very nerve-wracking and annoying. Oh well... into each life some rain must fall. |

I am happy to read that your Mom is doing well, and that the surgery went well. I sure do wish for her a speedy-recovery. A friend is having the same problem with her sinus acting up the last couple of days. I don't usually have an issue with that other then when I have a cold. I would imagine it is very irritating. Much like my bum leg these past weeks from that fall. A real pain in the ass...I can't imagine that in my head. I take that back...I have had swimmer's ear on occassion. But I just put in this special stuff for that and it is fine. If I recall correcting, it sucked. So...I feel for you. I hope you have some relief ASAP. You haven't gotten any water in your ear have you? Take good care and hugs for mom too |
