Easily one of the best FM concerts ever IMO.

The Rhiannon alone gives me the shivers!!!!

They honestly didn't do much for me that on the SYW tour...okay, Lindsey did, but that's an enitrely different story. ;)

Ok, ok! lol I have no problem with it, just not fan of the the era. Btw, thank you for all of the quotes, Vanessa. Very cool of you! :) I'd probably go nuts listening to the SYW "Landslide" dedications.

A few more between song edits...

"Wild Oklahoma. I always find someone...to dedicate this song to, tonight, I'd like to just dedicate it to our crew...cause they're so special...and also to you. It's called "Landslide"." --Oklahoma City, OK 5/18/77

"This is for you Australia."--Sydney, AUS 11/17/77

"I would like to...dedicate this...very old song...to Fleetwood Mac, cause this is our last night. It's called "Landslide"." --Austin, TX 10/31/82

"So, ladies and gentlemen, this is a song that we have not done for about ten years in the United States. Well, for that matter, any..any other states. And, it's a song I've always, umm, dedicated to somebody, and tonight I would first of all like to dedicate it...most...firstly, to my mom who's here, if she's not at the blackjack table. (laughs) And if she is at the blackjack table, let's all bless her with love so she will win lots of money! This is "Landslide", and this is for you."--Las Vegas, NV 6/10/90

"This is a song...we took out of the set about twelve years ago, and we decided to put it back in because, we thought you might have missed it a little bit. And we would like to dedicate it from us to you, because this is where we started. With all our love, this is "Landslide"."--Oakland, CA 12/6/90

"This is for you." Winston Salem, NC 11-20-75 (this one is actually quite funny, the guitar is much softer than her mic, and she is asking Richard to turn it up...probably because all the guys in the audience are screaming things at her. ;))

You guys better doublecheck those dates.

David 08-08-2006 09:20 PM

This is gonna be a GREAT Landslide dedication page!!

The next order of business will be to find photos that are era-specific or when possible show-specific.

Hm, that's right, it's actually New Haven, CT 10-20-75. Moi boot is mislabeled. I'll edit.

I stumbled on my Landslide Word document by accident and remembered that I was trying to gather as many Landslide dedications as possible at one point. I updated a bit and copied them all to a webpage.

http://danax6.tripod.com/landslidededications.html

I'll continue to update as I sort through my bootlegs. What can I say, Stevie's babbling is sort of an obsession for me. One day I might upload my quotes list.

Enchanted Era - Live In Bethel, NY (Woodstock) - 1998
Ladies and gentleman this is Andrea...and Andrea you're just gonna stand here with us like you're singing, just pretend you're singing, and you're not, but just pretend you are, this is Landslide, we're dedicating it to Andrea, and of COURSE, we're dedicating it to all of you...

Fleetwood Mac Live
I'd like to take just a moment to dedicate this very old song to you "Lyndon" because you're very special to us. (I swear she says Lyndon but she could be saying Lindsey.)

Gold Dust Tour Era - Live In Melbourne, Australia - 2.18.2006
Ok, one more, one more quick dedication...I would like to dedicate this next song to Andrew...McManus, and his wife, well oh, I don't think they're actually married...But, maybe somebody, and Nikki...She's gonna kill me for that, to Andrew and Nikki...For um, having us here in Australia, we appreciate it so much for you bringing us here.

Mirage Era - Live In Irvine, CA - 10.18.1982
This is my home, I would like to dedicate this song to the City of Hope, because they gave us a little more time, (something) (something) all my heart.

Mirage Era - Live In Oakland, CA - 10.20.1982
I would like to dedicate this song, to Bill Graham, because he IS the velvet underground, he started us all...Its called Landslide.

Rumours Era - Live In Baton Rouge, LA - 8.30.1978
Hello Baton Rouge...This is my Landslide and I'd like to dedicate it to Mr. John Courage, who is my friend.

Rumours Era - Live In Nashville, TN - 5.21.1977
Well, Nashville, home of back-porch singing, country, and everything...This is a song called Landslide and I'd like to dedicate it to you.

Say You Will Era - Live In Clarkston, MI - 9.14.2004
We always like to take this moment, in the set, as you know, to stop and tell you, the audience, how much we appreciate the fact that you continue to support this band...I think we've played here in this city three times over the past year and a half...So you're number one on our list! Um...Like Lindsey just said, its like I think for the whole, the last six-seven-eight songs, we've been doing, my head is so full of trying to think of all the people that we of course want to thank because its been such an amazing year and a half of touring we really have just never stopped since May fifth, LAST may fifth, not just the one that just passed, but, before before that, so without going into all that, I just want everyone up here on the stage, and all of our incredible crew, and our incredible voice monitors, and our incredible voice...monitor, Robert, and our incredible sound guy Dave Nattel, and our lighting guy Arlove, and these amazing people, these are only four of the amazing amazing men and women that take care of this group, so I'd like you to give them a big ol' round of applause. And just as an aside, the man that he dedicated um, the second song to, Ray, he picked me up to go to our first rehearsal for Fleetwod mac in an orange Dotson truck, Ray! On Hollywood Blvd. in 1975, January, to go to the very first fleetwood mac rehearsal I ever went to, I've never stopped...(something) (something) its true! So, with that all said, then there's one more person, my father, who has been out here for parts of this entire tour, this entire 135 shows, Dad, Jess, you did it, you made it, and what a guy you are, 79 years old you can rock (with the best of um! So everybody this is Landslide and its for all of you...

TimeSpace Era - Live In Los Angeles - 8.17.1991
"We put this back in the set, because we thought that maybe you might have missed it a little bit, and so we decided to keep it, I wrote this song in 1973, in Aspen, Colorado...Along with Rhiannon, never knowing it would lead to this or I would ever be standing here, so this is definitely, ah, dedicated to all of you, because if it wasn't for you I would've never written a song, this is your song, Its called Landslide."

Tusk Era - Live In St. Louis, MI - 11.6.1979
Hello St. Louis, I think I would like to dedicate this to you tonight, its called Landslide.

There is a video boot of a concert in, I think, the 90's whjere she sings Landsline (harmony) on stage with a group named "Venice." The dedication is cool and their faces when she joins in is one of delight. Does anyone have this to post? I looked on youtube to no avail.

"I would like to, um...I would like to dedicate this song to one of my two best...friends in the whole world, Christine Mcvie. She...I think she's over there. She's not here. It's called "Landslide"."--Indianapolis, IN 9/12/82

BTM

"So this is a song that we, uh, took out of the set about ten years ago, because...well, really, actually, we were tired of it. Now, after ten years, we decided to put it back in the set because we weren't tired of it again, or we thought you might've missed it. This is always my moment, sort of, with the audience to...talk to you for a second, and to dedicate this song to somebody. Since I don't know anybody here in this town...don't hurt men (?). I can't. It's a long, long story and I can't tell. So, I have to just say this song was written in the beginning, in 1973, for you. So I guess it might as well continue to be...for you This is "Landslide", and it's for you."--Albany, NY 11/17/90

Timespace

"We've uh...we saved something for the very end that's uh, real special to me because it's a song we haven't done in a really long time. I wrote this in Aspen Colorado in 1973. So it has a lot of special memories for me, and I hope that it has a lot of special memories for you. It's called "Landslide". " --Philadelphia, PA 7/26/91

"Um...we saved this song pretty much to the end because...we took it out of the set...in all different bands...we took it out for a long time, and we put it back in, because we thought maybe you might've missed it...just a tiny little bit. So....first of all it was written in 1973 up in Aspen Colorado....and uh...I would like to dedicate it, most especially to uh...all of you guys here because, I guess if it wasn't for you, I never really would've done this. So, this is your song....and it's yours." --Mountain View, CA 8/15/91 (aka Concord 1991)

Thanks a million. :xoxo:

Here's some more Mirage and Dance:

"This is for you." Boston, MA 9-20-97

"I would like to dedicate this song to you and also would like to dedicate it to... to my best friend, because she's very sick. I would like for you all to say a prayer for her. Her name is Robin. This song is called Landslide." Philadelphia, PA 9-11-82

"I would like to take just a minute to dedicate this to the most fun (?) Fleetwood Mac has ever had in the last eight years, on this tour. Thank you for being wonderful and for being fun (?). It's called Landslide." Detroit, MI 9-19-82

Can't make out WPB, FL 11-8-97, it sounds like she's dedicating it Glen Parrish's older brother John. Orlando, FL 11-8-97 is a disaster, as is Minneapolis, MN 9-23-82.

I would like to dedicate this song, to Bill Graham, because he IS the velvet underground, he started us all...Its called Landslide.

I can still remember her saying this, 25 years later. And she praised Bill Graham at her RAL show because he had just open the Shoreline Amphitheater. Graham also introduced her at her WH Oakland show and the SF Chronicle review said it was because she came on so late that he felt he needed to apologize to the fans directly.

When I was about 16, I wrote to Bill Graham and complained about high ticket prices (they were probably $15 or something). He wrote a personal note and send me a gift certificate for tix.

In Carol Ann's book she says that Stevie dedicated it to her during the Tusk tour. I don't think she mentioned exactly when and where.

The Shorline Ampitheater was created specifically for the US Festivals wasn't it? Or am I mistaken?

And Bill Graham, honestly, is my idol. I'm going to school to become an educator, but my dream job is to be a Concert Promoter. How he basically started the music administration business is incredible. Do you still have the note?

Yeah, that part is a little hazy. CAH talks about the three Melbourne shows, the first being where Lindsey laid on the ground for three songs straight, taking the spotlight away from Stevie during Rhiannon and then mocking her during Sisters of the Moon by pulling his jacket over his head and following her around all over the stage. According to her the second night was a regular night and the third night, which would be the 3rd of March, was the show where Stevie missed World Turning because she was busy attacking CAH at the side of the stage and screaming at her that she hated CAH being with Lindsey and that she would never allow her to marry Lindsey because CAH was evil, evil, evil.

Then she says that the next morning she told Lindsey about what happened and that he got mad and went over to Stevie's hotel room to sort things out. They left for Brisbane that same day and according to her the show was that same night, which would make it the 4th of March. She said she wasn't looking forward to it, because she was afraid Stevie now had it in for her. Apparantly Stevie apologized and thought she got hives because of what she did and she dedicated Landslide to CAH that night. But the next show was really on March 7, not the 4th.

So, who knows? She might have all made it up and nothing happened, or she forgot a few details, like how they had 3 days off in between, not a new show immediately after. If Stevie really did dedicate Landslide to her, that would then have been the March 7, 1980 show in Brisbane.
