[QUOTE=dissention]That and I thought he was a bit too pensive in a lot of scenes in the first one. By the time the second rolled around, he was shafted for Pfeiffer, Devito, and Walken, so there wasn't much to do with the character.
I see your point on that one too...but that's the character. He's very brooding and dark. The mistake they made with the first one was by giving him some closure on the death of his parents by killing the Joker. In fact, in the comics, the Joker has nothing to do with his parents death. Besides, Keaton just LOOKED SO COOL in the outfit! I found these awesome pics a few days ago online that I'd never seen. |

"Never, never, interrupt me, okay? Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint. Even then, don't come knocking. Or, if it's election night, and you're excited and you wanna celebrate because some fudgepacker that you date has been elected the first queer president of the United States and he's going to have you down to Camp David, and you want someone to share the moment with. Even then, don't knock. Not on this door. Not for ANY reason. Do you get me, sweetheart?" "Where do they teach you to talk like this? In some Panama City "Sailor wanna hump-hump" bar, or is it getaway day and your last shot at his whiskey? Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here."  That.movie.is.my.favorite.comedy.EVER. |

Godzilla was and is and remains one of my all time great childhood icons, only a few steps behind Kirk and Spock! |

Honey, it's a movie . Hokey dinosaurs are allowed.

HAHAHA! You guys are hilarious. I always liked a T-Rex better than Godzilla. There is something intrinsically odd about a giant lizard-dinosaur-hybrid stomping on helpess Asian people. |

I just don't think it's that cool, ok? Which reminds me, why, oh why, didn't Bette Davis ever fight a dinosaur? Now, that is an even and compelling match! |

As for Bette - she would have won  |

I saw the Godzilla movies at the Matinee: Mothra, Gidrah, that freaking turtle thingy, ALL the Godzilla ones, including SON of Godzilla......I even saw Godzilla vs. Megalon at the Drive in in the 70's....I am a TRUE fan! Now, STAR TREK, I know every line in every episode, I am a true defender of the Kirk/Spock faith! Ask Diss! He'll tell ya! :] :blob1: :blob2:  ps: I wish blob 1 and blob 2 bounced at different times from each other... |
one more thing: Godzilla went ape-**** (har har) on Japan because those doofuses were testing atomic bombs in the ocean and he got zapped with atomic radiation which explains his atomic radioactive breath that can melt metal and all that....
I also want to say the those movies were absolute TREASURES of miniature set perfection.....the time that went into making those mini landscapes and a mini Tokyo.....amazing! :D |
this looks to be alot of fun, can't wait to see it!!! ~
|
yet another thing:
I rooted for Godzilla even tho King Kong was being billed as the "American" monster against the "Japanese" monster Godzilla. Godzilla had cool factor! |

And as for Star Trek, I'm more of an 80's movies/Next Generation fan. |
which era was the king kong movie from when he rips a snakes head in half?, it aired on t.v. around 1980?~ i remember it was a big deal that it was airing on t.v. tho i don't quite know when it was from, i think it might of even had jessica lange in it? does this ring a bell w/ anyone...anyone...bueller?   ~ anyways, the part where king kong fights the snake & tears it in half has freaked me out ever since i saw it~ tho this movie looks to be awesome~
