I was not "posting (my) hatred" in the public forum. AS I'VE STATED SEVERAL TIMES NOW, I never said "I hate Asians" I said "I'm not attracted to them" but you, in your hypocrisy and self-righteousness, misinterpreted my statement as being hateful.

Which makes you the ignorant one. And if you have anything more to say to me, you might consider messaging it to me privately since you are obviously  so concerned about public decorum.

LOL! I think that is the first time anyone has called something Stevie was wearing "Ghetto" but she really does pull that look off well. It makes her seem younger because it is a coat I would normally see on a twenty something, not a 56 year old. I can't beleive she is that old. She looks hot!

You're quite the undeservedly self-righteous prig, aren't you? Miss Vicky, don't bother responding to this idiot anymore. She obviously reads only what she wants to read and seems dead set on twisting your words into the most inflammatory meaning possible. There's no point in yelling at a wall, and this isn't really the appropriate forum for this anyway.

Anybody ever see that old Nazi propaganda film, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes?

Wow. I can't believe you would be so disgustingly and openly racist on this message board. Do you know how many Jews and blacks have lived and died in ghettos over the centuries? And you dare to apply the term to a coat and then laugh about it? Simply despicable. Go commit your hate crimes elsewhere.

These kinds of discussion make me play Rage Against The Machine again. Bullet in the head. Please stop so I can go back playingSave Me A Place.

Look I think it's ok to say GHETTO here..get over it..lol

On a slightly different note, Bette sure loves that half-moon necklace Stevie gave her. She's worn it in every bloody picture I've seen in the past couple of months.

My friend surprised me and sent my an 8x10 of Bette at a fashion show last week because she knows I'm a huge fan and she was wearing it. It suits her very well, rather adorable.

That's a sweet present. Yeah, those necklaces are actually pretty flattering overall. I mean, shiny, not to big, not to small, delicate yet not too wussy...uh...

KateTheCursed 02-28-2005 09:47 PM

Is anyone else having trouble accessing Taku's site?

It won't load for me. :(

Girl must buy them in bulk from Sam's Club.

If I ever get a gift from Stevie, I will know what it will be before I even open it.

If it came from Sam's Club, I'd refuse it and bitch her out. :o

Oh my.... that is the silliest thing I have heard in a while. The term "ghetto" is just plain common in the english language and has nothing to do with Jewish people in the way it is generally used today. Besides, do we really have to be so PC on these boards? I feel like every single thread someone is disecting someone's words trying to find something racist about it. Grow up! The person who said "Ghetto" was referring to a jacket!

Hmmm after reading the whole thread, I do think that Jyqm was making a sarcastic remark...I could be wrong though.

Bingo! I thought I was the only one who caught that. It was pretty damn funny, too. :D

Anyhoo, I have yet to form my own opinion about Miss Stevie's face, since I can't get onto Haku's site from my computer at work.

Me three. It seemed like a stab at HejiraNYC for his/her misinterpretation of my comment and his/her accusations that I am a racist rather than being a totally serious remark.

Ya - I think that was complete and blatant sarcasm - I believe he/she was trying to make a point ;)

Really - I don't want to get involved in that whole discussion - but it was simply a bit of sarcasm :)

DrummerDeanna 03-02-2005 10:59 AM

Anyway - back to the topic at hand - Stevie does look too cute in the Bette/Stevie photo...

And from the FM gallery photo of Stevie and Taku to the Bette one - there is definitely a jowl difference - but I mean - that can be angles and stuff right?

I don't really care if she's had work - she looks fabulous!!

She looks incredible, but no one is ever going to sell me on the belief that she hasn't had work done. I think she had some stuff done back around The Dance and she had a little "refreshing" recently. Maybe just a non-surgical face lift and a few other little things, but she did something. And more power to her because she's looking better than she has in quite awhile.

I always thought she looked different around The Dance too - just look at the album cover.

And I agree - I can't say I would ever have cosmetic surgery, but if I had the $$$ maybe I would. Who am I to judge. So whatever, she's gorgeous - always has been & always will be, in my eyes.

I think she has had a few, as my aunt called plastic surgery, "hysterectomies" in the past. But, she always looked ten years younger than she really was. I mean in those tank top White Album photos, she is like 28 and she looks 18. So, she has good genes, which is a plus to begin with

On the cover to The Dance, the only ones who look like themselves are Mick and John. Stevie and Chris look like aliens and Lindsey just...doesn't look like Lindsey.

When you don't even look like yourself, you know too much has been done to your photo.

The Stevie pic is great... but is she back to her whole "not smiling for photos" thing again??

Yes, but Lachapelle did his part too. He loves to transform everybody in aliens or plastic statues

ya think!? When I saw the Dance cover i thought Bonnie Tyler joined to replace Christine.

Bonnie Tyler most notable for "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and even "It's a Heartache"....for you older folks ;)

Yes, Jyqm was being sarcastic. Sure, he may be relatively new to the Ledge, but he was a regular on alt.music.fleetwood-mac for years, and sarcasm was one of his specialties.
