You just made me remember a hilarious thing that happened in London. I was in Hard Rock Cafe with Seteca and another friend and it's hella ("Stop saying hella, Cartman!" LOL) loud, and all of a sudden, I hear the intro to The Chain from The Dance, and I go "OMG, The Chain!!" Seteca goes "How did you know that from like, 2 notes?!" I start headbanging, acting like a crazy fool at the table. I seriously need therapy.

My friends already think I have strange tastes in film and music and for them FM is just another episode. I'm planning another of my slow but effective conversion sessions. ;)

I seemed to have just the opposite result with my bf. When we were first dating (10 friggin' years ago this month!) I found a casette of Rumours in his car. I figured he must like the Mac. So I took that as a sign that I could just play Mac and Stevie 24-7, like I did when I was single. Now he walks out of the room when I do...

No, they've just been too busy posting in "Gayfest Part Deux" over on the Chit Chat board.

Dude, that's hella cool! (CARTMAN!!) I always pick up Mac songs that way, my ex is a musician and he was baffled by it. In the middle of a crowded restaurant, above the din, I hear a couple of notes and get all excited and he's like, "How the...?" (Why is it so exciting to hear the music out in public when you hear it in private all the time?)

My current BF really likes the Mac, I got him into them taking him to the concert last year, we were in the 4th row. He was literally blown away. He loves the Live in Boston discs, especially Stand Back, he'll blast it in the car, it's really cute! He loves Taku's work on that.

However, I once said something about him liking FM in front of one of his friends and he wouldn't admit it, like he's embarrassed! I'm like, what the??? But, at least he likes them.

Ive played Oh Well and Green Manillishi for friends. Most of them wonder what I'm playing. When I answer, they have this puzzled look on their faces. Most of them have sought out the early Mac stuff as a result.
