Stop playing the same freaking songs!!!!! It makes you look lazy Yeah! I second that thought! Put some new stuff in like Thrown Down! Or some classics like SOTM or Save Me A Place! Or even Angel (of my Dreams)!!! |
The setlist will be changed, no doubt about it....the question is really how brave Fleetwood Mac gets....
Here are the sure bets..... You can bet the following songs wont be touched: The Chain Dreams Gypsy Big Love GYOW Gold Dust Woman Tusk Silver Springs Rhiannon Peacekeeper Say You Will Im So Afraid Secondhand News Never Going Back Again Don't Stop Total: 15 songs untouched *probably* Next, songs that could get the axe: Eyes of the World Come Say Goodbye Beautiful Child World Turning Whats the World Coming To Goodbye Baby Total: 7 songs they could chop *probably* Next, songs that have a GOOD CHANCE of showing up: Destiny Rules Steal Your Heart Away Oh Well Storms Red Rover Monday Morning Total: 6 songs that could show up The main thing we have to remember is to be realistic....believe me, as much as I want "Dreams" dropped, I know they wont....You can probably expect shuffling of the order, and some song changes, but dont expect anything out of this world (I hope I am proved wrong) ~Alex:wavey: |
David,
I agree "Blue Lamp" would be a nice addition! I never thought of that song - was thinking more mainstream with "Edge...". I actually think they should change out a few of the standards for more standards not played if they want to be safe - ie change out "Second Hand News" for "Monday Morning", etc. I don't mind hearing Dreams, etc. and the other standards but would love a few new one's and come on , why not some Buckingham Nicks - now is their chance! "Crystal" would be incredible and didn't they used to do "Don't Let me Down Again." I tell ya if they are willing to play new stuff a lot of the crowd has not heard why not the old stuff they also have not heard (but the rest of us knows!) Lauren |

I don't think they will change the setlist much. When do they have the time to rehearse? Isn't Kristen ready to pop soon? I hope he's spending time with her in her last month.
I just think it will stay the same. They announced old and new songs and they probably feel they have the perfect mix of that. I could see SYW and Peacekeeper go for some Frozen Love and Tango in the Night but THAT won't happen. The same set list would be fine. I DON'T want to see Come or Stand Back go...those are the two most fun songs I think. |
Even though I throw in my comments about what I'd IDEALLY like to see happen with the setlist, bottom line is I do love all of the songs they're playing and am not going to pitch a fit if they don't change it.
I realized today that maybe they do just really love those songs THAT much (or they really are just THAT much in the habit of playing them) because they don't even branch out during soundchecks...their chance to goof around playing whatever the heck they feel like. A lot (if not most) artists do this at sound checks (ie, Paul McCartney practically plays an entire mini show at his soundchecks, doing rare or unreleased songs, jams, covers of oldies, and general musical goofing off). Imagine all of the hundreds of times Stevie has performed Dreams (with or without Mac), and double it because she seems to always do it at soundchecks. It's wild! |

The people who only care about Rumours are drunk anyway, so as long as they (maybe:distress: ) remember hearing, say, GYOW and The Chain, they'll be back again next year for that "great show" and another round of beers.:distress: ;) :D  {"Great show" as in quoting the drunk person who deems it that after only remembering 2 Rumours songs, not as in me implying the show isn't great.:) } |

Alas, all of my friends who work on that lot are on hiatus, and I would be hard pressed to get a pass to get onto the lot to hang around at this time. I am, however, working on it... |

I know you may think I'm weird, but I'd like to hear Fleetwood play a whole set of Andy Williams standards. If they do that, somebody let me know & I'll call a broker. |

So do we pretty much know/strongly suspect this is indeed a continuation of the Say You Will Tour and not just a "Summer Fun 2004 Just 'Cause We Feel Like It Tour"?! Sure, not really characteristic of them, but people do it all the time.

But who would sing lead on Crystal? Am I the only one that likes the Practical Magic Stevie solo version better? |

Seriously though, they MUST do Crystal at some point! It's such a great song! And I think it would be a better closer than GB personally. The alternating vocals was a good idea as well! |
