The ever popular...
and politically motivated concept album "Operation:Mindcrime" by Queensryche...
Kinda ironic, But the lyrics from this 1988 classic still apply to the political scene of the US today...Maybe that is part of the reason why a sequel to "Mindcrime" will be released next year. "Revolution calling, Revolution calling you. There's a revolution calling. A revolution calling. Gotta push, gotta push it on through." Brian j. |

Song of the moment: Atomic- Blondie |
Indelibly Stamped by Supertamp. This is second of two albums that predated Crimeof the Century (the album that is often mistakenly identified as their debut)
Elton John-Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player. This is Elton in his prime. The big hits were Daniel and Crocodile Rock but the real gems were have Have Mercy on the Criminal and High Flying Bird. Aerosmith Get Your Wings. 70's Aerosmith sounds so raunchy. |

Oklahoma's own...
Cross Canadian Ragweed's "Soul Gravy" disc (Currently listening to "Alabama (New Version)")...Ya dont have to be a country music fan to dig this cd, IMHO It's one of the better releases from this year & highly recommended.

The clever lyrics...
of the song "Back When" (Written by Jeff Stevens, Stephony Smith & Stan Lynch) from the new Tim McGraw release "Live Like You Were Dying"...
Here's the chorus: "Back when a hoe was a hoe Coke was a coke Crack's what you were doing when you were cracking jokes Back when a screw was a screw The wind was all that blew When you said, "I'm down with that", If meant you had the flu I miss back when I miss back when I miss back when" Brian "I'm reading street slang for dummies...'cause they put pop in my country" j. |
