While I can't imagine Kristen was happy about Lindsey reconnecting with anyone in FM, I doubt that would be enough to trigger a divorce. Likely it's just the usual stuff that happens when marriages don't work out.

And yes, please no fake love or real love with Stevie.

Yeah, I think if the two things (him reconnecting with Mick and his divorce) are related at all, it might be more the other way around-- that is, his marriage was faltering, and maybe they'd already decided to split and were just working it out behind the scenes before any public revelation was made, maybe they were in fact already living apart... and with his kids grown and doing their own stuff, and his wife doing her own stuff, he felt more of the effects of the loss of the band and reached out to Mick to explore future work projects...

This isn't funny. But I do not remember seeing this photo posted on The Ledge.

I’m sure it’s along those lines..(but not exact.)..made me gasp when I heard it.
She must have been down in the cellar...casting her spells.

I also thought of Stevie’s comment as soon as I heard the news. I shudder to think which one would kill the other first if they ever did get back together.

Some very similar thoughts went through my head during my divorce 2 yrs ago. And I'm only 39...

But yeah, this is super unfortunate. I wish them both the best and hope it's amicable, for the entire family's sake.

No "bad" publicity. There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about (Oscar Wilde).

Actually I learned about new LB album when I read the divorce new.

Saw this on Twitter earlier today. Given the events of the last 3 yrs, it made me a little nauseous, to be honest... :o

aleuzzi 06-09-2021 09:48 PM

This is pretty sad, especially in light of her considerable public support of him when he was fired, but no one is too old to divorce. Regardless of their age gap, they’re both entitled to happiness on their own terms. Hope this split isn’t too hard on the kids.

On another note, it appears John is the only one of the Rumours five who has achieved a successful second-act marriage. Go figure!

He wouldn't go back with her for those shameful lyrics alone.

I take that back, she knows struggles like MLK, Lewis and JFK. She worked as a waitress. Lindsey knows that she needs a certain kind of attention.

Poor Lindsey… even in a thread about his divorce, Stevie ends up dominating the topic!

The timing of the divorce after Lindsey sold his catalog does seem like it was just as much a money thing as anything else. But even if he has to give Kristen half the profits, he shouldn’t go hungry.

But it does happen. And not necessarily alone (though probably in this case they will). Mario Vargas Llosa, (Nobel Prize in Literature 2010), got divorced in 2015, almost at 80 yo. He finished his 50 years marriage for Isabel Preysler (Julio Iglesias ex wife).

When I read that, I remember a popular expression: Smallpox at old age!!!

I think things were definitely not ok before his firing/heart attack judging by Kristen's social media. But it appeared things went better during his recovery.
They had probably been separated for a long time and for whatever strange reason decided to make it public the same day of this solo tour. His recent closeness with the band couldn't have helped in any way.

vivfox 06-13-2021 11:07 AM

Maybe her overbearing decorations drove him to the brink:] His next home will be modern minimalist.

Any particular posts you’re thinking of when you say things looked like they weren’t ok before his firing/heart attack?

She got the picture frames in the division of property.

Maybe he told her she couldn't make any snarky comments on social media.
Maybe he wanted her to have dinner with him with Mick as part of the 'reconnecting' and she couldn't bring herself to swallow that much sh&t.
Maybe she felt like him choosing the band again after she so publicly smacked them down for how they treated him was disrespectful to her.

I was skimming through BuckVie the other night...it all puts his music on there in a new light potentially.... things get tough but Love Is Here to Stay.... and some of his last solo albums... I always found That's the Way That Love Goes very curious and now....

that's fine. I don't follow any Stevie fan accounts on twitter, so in the absence of any links or proof, I'll just go with my instinct that whatever gets tweeted there is malarkey.

aleuzzi 06-14-2021 04:40 PM

I mean, even if the grounds for divorce are ever made public, we’ll never fully know or understand why they’re divorcing. Personally, I blame Carol Ann Harris, the grannie panties incident, Kenny Rogers, and the entire nation of New Zealand.

Since you don’t need to state a grounds for divorce in California, it would shock me if adultery was listed.

lovethemac1 06-14-2021 09:52 PM

I doubt a parent would make that claim, if even for the kids sake.

And if she did, TMZ would likely say so. That is what they live for. It’s not as if Harvey Levin suddenly got religion.

I have no idea why Lindsey and Kristen are divorcing. I do know divorce is genteelly awful for all impacted, from the spouses. to the three children, including a minor, and the extended family and friends.

I have avoided commenting on this thread, as it's is not my place to speculate about the reasons for marital dissolution, but this spreading of an obviously false document compelled me to write.

michelej1 06-15-2021 08:03 PM

What has been posted is the type of information you would find on the court's website. That is the correct format for that, for the most part. It's not the petition for dissolution. It's just the court case information that you will find on the courthouse website if you put in the CORRECT case number and courthouse. However, the court's website would not list the grounds for divorce.

That case number listed on twitter is not for the Buckingham dissolution either. That case number is for a couple with the surname RIOS.

You can go to the court website and put in case number and courthouse information and find the same:

Stella is not yet 18. I was in the audience when they returned from a break in the tour and Stevie announced Stella’s birth.

It was a very sweet announcement. Lindsey just stood there and smiled — or smirked. Stella can go and find it on YouTube, which is a wonderful memento to have of your entrance to the world.

I wonder what Lindsey was doing with his paternity leave? It’s hard to imagine him up at night holding a crying newborn.

You know I would always argue against the forced granny sweater claim by pointing out that Stevie also wore that sweater outside of Fleetwood Mac. When she gets a favorite outfit, like that blouse with the holes in the shoulder, she tends to wear it off stage as well as on stage. Of course her fans explained that even though Lindsey forced her into the sweater she also wore it off stage as well because she didn’t have anything else to wear. What???
