Nor did I see the Ann Wilson interview. But I know the Wilson sisters had majority ownership in the band, so as long as they stuck together they could fire anyone they wanted. My sense is that more than anything is the critical factor behind all the comings and goings.

Also original lead guitarist Robert Fischer cheated on Nancy, which proved to be the death knell for his tenure in the group. It's not analogous to Lindsey and Stevie because, unlike Ann and Nancy, at that point they were not the bosses. (In time Stevie would attain the power position, notwithstanding her assertion to the contrary.)

Yes, Chris said a couple of times that she'd had a few moments of jealousy early on. I think that would be natural because stevie did kind of attract tons of attention. but on the other hand i don't think chris really wanted the attention/to be in the spotlight in center stage anyway. maybe it was more wanting her contributions to also be appreciated? maybe she felt slightly invisible.

I've always felt chris really changed the way she dressed after stevie joined. All of a sudden she was wearing those tiny, short-shorts w the high boots, and sexy little tops, she put feathers in her hair and had those platform sandals... I suppose this might have happened anyway just due to the fashions changing, but i think trying to present a bit of a "sexier image" as a woman may have been part of it, too.

I agree. I don't think it was a big deal at the end. It's like when I saw a doc where Frida said that she was sometimes jealous of Agnetha too, because B&B gave her the lead vocals on some songs (because of her higher vocal range), songs that she wished to be the lead singer, but she laughed while telling the story. Not big deal.

Yes the name "Stevie Nicks" was more famous. But we know that Christine's personality wasn't that of someone who wanted to be a star, in the spotlight, so I think the jealousy must have been fleeting.

Did she feel that her contributions to the albums were sometimes underrated? Not from the critics, I always read good reviews of Christine in the magazines, they valued her contribution highly.

I also agree it was not a big deal and would be natural to have a little jealousy. It had to drive the other members crazy that Stevie was getting the lion share of the applause (direct quote from Rolling Stone 1982). Stevie's Rhiannon dance wearing thin on Lindsey in New Zealand in 1980. But post cocaine Stevie turned it way down especially after Lindsey left. Stevie made sure to not do long walks along the audience and stayed on stage for many more songs than her cocaine years. Klonopin also assisted in this mission with Stevie fading into the background of the band.
Anyone agree with me that Chris gives Steive side eye when she comes on stage for YMLF on the HBO Mirage show.

I remember many ledgies were disappointed with Stevie’s Rhiannon performance in The Dance, because of her lack of energy, she was more calm, slow, etc. compared with her 70s and Mirage shows. I wasn’t. I understand she decide to take care of her voice, her health, etc. She was sober by 1997 so it was easier for her to control herself. Yes she was so effusive, emotional, full of energy singing during that great 70s era. But also out of control many times. It is easy to realize those shows damaged her voice in the long term. And let’s remember when we commented about the mistakes she made at the 1982 US festival, like forgetting to get back in time to the microphone, etc. You can't control everything when you're doing cocaine, and it always gets worse. So by 1997 she couldn’t repeat those mistakes.

By the way, my favorite Rhiannon is where she sings Is that what you want from me!!! I love that line. It’s in Tusk Deluxe, I guess it is Tucson 1980.

I agree it's impossible, without seeing the others, to say whether Christine is giving Stevie (or someone else) side eye.

My impression, hampered as it is absent such context, is that someone on stage does something that catches Christine's attention and causes her to glance over.

Not sure, but she looks deeply focused in the song, then a brief glimpse over to the band.

She looks down at her hands (sometimes) especially on that song because of the quick changes. It's part of why I love watching her play. She's a total pro.
