Gosh, ANOTHER reissue?

I will say the Rumours Super Deluxe is worth it for a number of reasons, especially “Planets of the Universe”; the full outtake with vocals of “Keep Me There”; a run-through of “Think About It”; and the early take of “Oh Daddy,” without Stevie’s cool but ungrammatical contribution (“and I can’t walk away from you, baby if I tried”) and instead the original, less-evocative but perfectly grammatical line: “and it’s helping through the night.”

But I won’t spend any more $ on further Rumours reissues.

Completely agree. I still enjoy all those alternative versions, demos, bonus tracks, the included concert. And that's enough from the Rumours universe to me.

It seems this new edition is about the complete history of the band (1967-2025), but I don't know why they include the word "Rumours" in the cover. Plus the 2025 year. There is no Fleetwood Mac anymore. And if some insist that it still exists this year, definitely it's not the Rumours lineup.

Because Rumours sells. Attach that word to FM and it piques interest

I feel like Fleetwood Mac is an entity that will exist even after every band member has passed. As long as music is being played, FM will exist. Maybe I’m being mushy.

I partially agree. I mean, Fleetwood Mac will always exist whenever a song is played in any media. Radios, Spotify, YouTube, my iPod Touch, etc. But that means a 1967-2025 history? I'm not sure.

Maybe, if an unreleased song appears today and becomes popular, like Beatles 1995 Free as a Bird or 2023 Now and Then, could it be considered as a new episode of the band? I don't know.

That would also make me wonder, would I like a new official Fleetwood Mac video with the help of AI, like Now and Then? I don't know either. Probably not.

Agreed! But can you elaborate on the ungrammatical quote? I’m not seeing what’s grammatically incorrect about that line. But then, grammar was never my strong suit.

It seems people will never get tired of Rumours. A post appeared in my FB saying that Rumours earned 637 weeks on the chart.

And yes, I just checked and it's #26 in the albums chart, and even climbed 2 positions.

https://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200/

The GH is #136, 341 weeks on the chart.

Mismatched tense.

I can't(present tense) walk away from you even if I tried(past tense).

A more grammatically correct option would be "even though I try" (present simple) or "even though I've tried" (present perfect)

But I couldn't say that to Bob Dylan even if I tried.
