I think the Fajita Roundup sketch was supposed to be irreverent. You know, like what's the last thing you would expect to see Stevie doing... opening a taco joint. I don't think it had anything to do with her weight or Lucy would have been wearing a fat suit. SNL was never known for their subtlety.

Lucy Lawless is a Stevie fan. The burrito angle was comic, possibly brought on by the idea that several aged rock stars last prime have gone on to open restaurants. (Sandra Bunhardt had done the same with a sketch about Christine.) I remember watching it at the time and being amazed at how Lawless managed to capture so many of the Stevie vocal and body mannerisms.

I do wish SNL would release Stevie's Stand Back performance on one of their dvd or CD collections. That performance is one of the best she's ever given of that song. To Stevie's credit, she almost always knows how to give that extra little bit when she's being recorded for posterity.
