I freaking love these clips from Landslide with Kid Rock surprising Stevie. Its so funny she was like totally caught off guard.

From now on I think that everyone Stevie dedicates Landslide to should be able to come out on stage and give a hug.

The look on her face was priceless.

wait what?? LB almost never makes dedications, except sometimes to his close family members. is this really correct?

He used to make NGBA dedications, which I found amusing, sometimes.

Not as amusing as dedicating, of all songs, What's The World Coming To? and Say Goodbye to Kristen, lol. Or Bleed To Love Her to Don Henley + Family. :D

Fleetwood Mac Joined By Kid Rock At Detroit Stop
Posted on 10/23/2014 10:21:00 AM by Gary Graff

Fleetwood Mac had an unexpected visitor on stage during its show Wednesday night (October 22) at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit.

As Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham played their usual duo version of "Landslide," Kid Rock, who lives not far from the venue, snuck up behind Nicks, hugging her from behind and giving her a kiss on the cheek, holding her in a kind of slow dance until the song ended. She turned around and returned the hug and kiss, and on the way off stage Rock hugged Buckingham.

The Mac tour continues Saturday (October 25) in Boston with North American dates booked through March and a European tour expected next year. The group has also been working on new music, with no release date yet determined.

Haha, I love how Stevie looks so bewildered when he walks out. "OMG Kid, couldn't you have told me you were gonna do this beforehand so we could rehearse?" :D

Indeed! Just as well Stevie's not publicly gone to his shows or she might've been on the receiving end of one for Come or something like that. ;)

I'm still partial to the fact that Stevie once dedicated Landslide to his high school science teacher, in all honesty. And that when it's a family dedication, Lindsey gets included.
"Usually when we play this in different cities, we find someone to give this song to but in this city we have a lot of people that we love. We love all of you but… We have Jeff Buckingham, Lindsey’s brother; and we have my dad, Jess Nicks, and we have my mom, Barbara; we have my aunt Carmel; and we want to dedicate this song to you."

more about Kid Rock showing up….. and how Stevie calls him the rock and roll love child she never had… I would have thought she met him through Sheryl since he and Sheryl were together for a while. (the article online also has a link to video of him onstage and a link to a collection of about 50 photos from the show)

Stevie Nicks explains Kid Rock song dedication during Fleetwood Mac concert

By Gary Graff, The Oakland Press

Thursday, October 23, 2014

Stevie Nick’s dedication of “Landslide” to Kid Rock caught fans — and Kid Rock himself — by surprise on Wednesday night, Oct. 23, during Fleetwood Mac’s concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

But Nicks says it was a heartfelt gesture, and that Rock walking on stage to embrace her was “an unforgettable moment.”

“I have known Kid since 2001 — and we have had a very special friendship ever since,” Nicks said Thursday via email. “We had the special opportunity to spend four days at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in 2006 with (the late Atlantic Records co-founder) Ahmet Ertegun, me, Kid, Robert Plant, Stevie Winwood, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan and more — each of us hand-picked by Ahmet.

“It was adult summer camp in Switzerland. We relate on many levels. Behind (Rock’s) crazy flamboyance lies the most amazing person. We have always joked that if I had had a child it would have been him. From that comes the dedication on stage during the Detroit show.”

REVIEW OF THE PALACE SHOW

After Nicks announced the song dedication, Rock strolled on stage, embraced her from behind and kissed her on the cheek. The two remained in a kind of slow dance until the song finished, when Nicks turned around to return the hug and kiss. Rock also embraced Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham on the way off stage.

Rock said Thursday that he knows Nicks “pretty well through the last 10 years. Stevie has always declared me ‘the rock n roll love child’ she never had.” Going on stage, he added, was a “spontaneous” decision. “I told Stevie when I surprised her that her security was not very good — joking, of course,” he said. “They sounded great, I thought.”
