Dreams, The Chain, Rhiannon or Gypsy.

The Chain. It's what got me interested as a teen.

Wow...there is no way to pick only one.
1. Gold Dust Woman. 2. The Chain. 3. Why/Over and Over. 4. Go Your Own Way. 5. Sara. I need to meditate on this to narrow it down. |
Jeez, As Long As You Follow is soooo good. Everything works - the melody, harmonies, Rick's amazing guitar.
Still, I'd have to say Sara or Silver Springs for their sheer, mysterious power. |
I have not studied a musician career so I can't evaluate technically a song as the best, but I have never understood how they evaluate a "best" art work. The critics and connoisseurs say Citizen Kane is the best movie ever but I've never understood why. Sometimes I think they choose the best thing of something from the most complicated example.
So it's very hard to choose the best without mixing our feelings about our favorites. Anyway i can't choose one song. Not even one per songwriter. There's a lot and actually it changes by periods. |
THE Best? I really don't know! Maybe a Top3:
- Sunny Side Of Heaven - Albatross - Big Love (Studio version) |
Oh Well
Followed by: Hypnotized Sunny Side Of Heaven Why Go Your Own Way Rhiannon |
The purple dancer
|
The Chain
Silver Springs Gold Dust Woman Gypsy Go Your Own Way |
what no votes for Lizard People

Sara - original Tusk LP version only.
I hate the edited (butchered) versions and the cleaning lady demo "Oo-ah" version. I like some live versions, but the Tusk LP version is heavenly. |
