They are so different. The 1975 Christine is way different than the 1987 Christine.

I much prefer Sugar Daddy.

"Bleed To Love Her" is my pick in this poll. It's better than the studio version. In fact, I wonder why they even bothered recording it again. They did not do that with "My Little Demon".

"Temporary One" should also not be underestimated. Christine could have recorded a great solo album in the late 90s if she had wanted to do so.

But the best song to come out of this time period is "Twisted".

I totally know what you mean. Especially Temporary One for me. I love that song and it was so perfect on The Dance I can't imagine hearing a different version of it.

You're not the only one Jake. I like Sugar Daddy. I'm not a fan of Everywhere. I just think Christine has had far superior songs than that. I don't get the love for that song over the others.

For me Everywhere just has an aural quality that's very evocative. Like a tinkly choir, puts me in mind of tiny crystals echoing in layers. The delicate music is almost hypnotic really, without the vocal. Then, you add the vocal, which is light and speaks of an awkward humility that the sounds help voice (you know that I'm proud and I can't get the words out), I find it very moving.

I don't hear the song and think, "wow that's a jam!" I kind of hear and try to sing the "ahhh ahhhhhh" part to myself and feel what it's like not to want to be parted from someone ever.

A) "Bleed To Love Her", the studio version, was already 99.999% finished when The Dance project came up. It was the song that triggered the whole reunion special & tour. After the hoo-ha regarding the song being the one that "got everyone back together", they couldn't very well, in good conscience, leave the studio version off the next album, regardless if it were a "Lindsey Buckingham" or a "Fleetwood Mac" album. Similar situation with "Steal You Heart Away"...there were 3 earlier released versions before the version on SYW. While it is usually the norm to release a studio version BEFORE a live version, this time was flipped (not exactly new in Fleetwood Mac's history; they've always been known to "test" new songs in live situations well before a new album comes out...at least up until 1980, that is). And, being that the live arrangement was pretty much just a truncated version of the studio take, I'm one that pretty much thinks that the only reason it WAS shortened (and it does pretty much come to an ABRUPT end compared with the studio take) was due to TV restrictions and Lindsey rearranged the song at the last minute for The Dance broadcast.

B) The studio version of "My Little Demon" wasn't quite finished when Fleetwood Mac got their hands on it and it was mainly going to be saved by Lindsey for his next solo project, which got delayed for so long, his entire focus changed & it was left for posterity.

While Silver Springs will win this (and it is a marvelous song), I gave my vote to Bleed to Love Her. It is just breathtakingly beautiful. :)

I love "The Chain" too, but I love the Mirage Tour version the best.

Does "My Little Demon" show up anywhere in studio form?
